This is why, despite having so many accounts, Epic is still losing hundreds of millions, every year.
Also, many people have an account just to work on the Unreal Engine.

steam is the best platform atm,by a mile.
proves what I've noticed about the whole industry in general - you have to deliver quality first and foremost.Then think about giving stuff for free.If your product sucks giving stuff away for free is not a solution.
I have tons of freebies on egs,and they're all good games.I'm not buying games there though,that's not happening.

only reason i have epic account too, and at i never touch single one of games, i sure if keep giving free games away account will keep rising too. image if Steam gave away free game ever week? or even GoG. epic bought there account number with free games given away ever week for what ? 3 years now?

Whatever, quality first... what utopia is being lived in? Steam forced everyone onto their system. Did not give any quality or free stuff away. Forced, as in here have the disc you bought. Hahaha joke is on you, to play the game, you need to have a Steam account. That is how Steam started out. Best platform...no freeking way. They do not have a true offline mode. You still need to login in to play offline. EGS at least has the option to not even launch their storefront if not wanted. Steam was just in the right place at the right time...period.

It's like that on every website it seems.
It's all because of the exclusives, and ever since then people hate on Epic no matter what. Some people just can't let things go... modern world.
But i guess it's nice to see the rotten apples surface as well ^^

I agree 100%. I also never got the steam is better thing from people.I run a bunch of launchers and they work fiine.
Steam locks me out of my accounts for family sharing 90 days at a time on most of my accounts,which is annoying. I have now resorted to having 5,6,7,8 steam accounts open at the same time to play games I want to play without the hassle of steam lock outs.
If anyone wants to know.I use sandboxie control to open different account's on programs

I've bought half a dozen games from them during their sales. They have been giving a $10 extra coupon when you buy a game, so they're often cheaper than other stores. The launcher has worked just fine for me so far.

I do not really hate epic or like em same with steam i see em as stores i get the cheapest possible , free games ... Now i was wondering what to play so i open to see all the freebies i had and i saw borderlands 2 huh never really played 2 and the last one i had played was the first one so installed and started playing had a laugh and when i was done borderlands 3 directors cut was 15 bucks so i brought it on the spot. What i believe is the reason to give free games is an example like the one i fall for (no regrets!) . Also steam has gamers that invested a serious amount on steam and they like to have the list growing all in one place . Now with the freebies they try to emulate that feeling because if you have just 1 game there chances are you will done with it and not bother again with epic game store , free games making egs a habit also bringing more eyes to their offers.
I want 2 things from epic a) to stop the exclusive deals b) something similar to steams workshop.
