I just want to know..... Is there a true and large benefit to having a liquid cooling setup on your RAM.....?! I've always had a fan of some sort blowing air over my modules and have never had a problem. I'm just thinking about upgrading and or swapping out modules that have gone bad and the added headache it would be having liquid going to them.

To each their own... I personally find this really silly. There's little benefit to be found from very fast ram, once you have quad channel, you already have about twice the bandwidth compared to the peasants dual channel.

From a performance perspective, liquid cooling RAM is nonsense. Actually, unless you are pushing very hard and/or is very concerned about noise, even GPUs are a hard casa for liquid cooling these days.

I think it's just for looks. More tubes and bends 😀

There is absolutely no point in watercooling DDR3 or DDR4. The voltage is low enough that heat is not an issue at all. Even the heat spreaders that are affixed to the ram is purely for aesthetics these days.

I disagree. I could run the sharp timings on my old Sandybridge PC only with active fans over the RAM. with the passive heatspreaders alone the PC became unstable. One bad thing about aftermarket RAM fans is the lousy quality. I always had one of the dual or triple fans failing quite soon. So when running watercooling anyway, including the RAM in the loop is a nice touch.

Ridiculous, but at least it looks good.

Just another unnecessary component for gamers to spend their money on and make them think it offers any real benefit at all. Hope that not too many people waste their cash on this.
