Meant for average consumer means not top performance. Even while on sale it is only 25% cheaper than Vertex 460A. I do not think it is worth it.

Looking at some benchmarks, it gets speeds up to 500MB/s in many tests. I don't see anything wrong with getting something 25% cheaper with decent performance.

Noticed the 240GB/256GB and 480GB/512GB, they use different controllers under the same product, some from SandForce, others from SiliconMotion (256, 512 and 1TB).
