Nice demo, but, in terms of visual experience, there is... nothing REALLY new here - I'd say it is a Crysis3/Metro LL level of details and geometry...

What an engine, looks spectacular! 😀

I can't decide which I like better, the Frostbite engine or the Unreal 4 engine. They both look great to me.

Meh... The same as any other fly-by tech demo -- static environment, few pre-animated objects and zero dynamics or interaction.

All it needs is PhysX then i'd happily pay £50 a game. With TressFX i'd happily pay £45 And with them both i'd pay £60 a game. For me graphics are at least 60% of the experience, just like Crytek owner says. *i'm really lovin' Metro LL right now. :P

Looks awesome, if you can look past the blurry footage. :bang:

Yes, it horrible indeed.

Really? Character animation matters - that's what we need. Look at L4D2 - it still looks great because of great character animation. High res models & textures, and complex shaders are not enough.

For me, it goes like this: 1: frostbite 3 2: cryengine 3 3: unreal 4 But, this difference is paper thin and; I think it depends on what kind of a game you're playing/developing. Scifi futuristic blade runner type of game with steampunk=unreal4 Realistic current day shooter in New York=cryengine3 Near future shooter with descructible environments=frostbite3 Unreal is shiny, cryengine is softer, frostbite is somewhere inbetween.

I love the gothic-futuristic art direction Epic seems to always go for. I'd love a Unreal 4 with UT2K4 movement and weapons.

UE3 is the most successful engine ever made, but i dislike it. some games look aweful some other better, it is versatile but still... I hope UE4 engine will be ever better than showed and utilize all hardware can give, and i hope a PROPER Unreal Tournament 4!!!(with better physx than borderlands 2, this will be excellent)

Meh, some nice environs and pretty lens flare!

Looks great, but what's up with the dirty lens effect in all these demo's. It's cool that it's possible, but to me it's just annoying, just as a lot of motion blur effects.

Impressive.

MEH. Not impressed in the least. Now if this was actual in game footage, id be more inclined to wet myself.

Lighting effects look a lot like Battlefield 3 or Syndicate. Smudged-camera-lens is now officially the new lens flare.
