If I'd be a terrorist I'd love this, you can buy small, self propelled flying hydrogen tanks that can explode by your command after you flew them there from two hours away. πŸ˜‰

Terrorists are quite adept at using intelligent biological drones capable of carrying bigger payloads. They consider them far cheaper than anything you can buy from a store.

I laughed because I understood... but then felt sad because I understood. ----------------- This is pretty amazing news, I always felt a bit meh when I could only fly rc heli for a few minutes.... Same with RC cars, man if I had one that lasted 7 hours when I was a kid...... just yeah... that would have been true bliss.

It's the start of Skynet!

In a sense it is good news, but to the honest I won't be amazed by any fuel cell news until someone introduces a working and relatively affordable one that uses gasoline. In the long run it can be something else than gasoline (or gasoline+ethanol mix), like pure ethanol, but just imagine how easy the adoption would be if you could visit any regular gas station to fill the tank, just like the owners of normal cars.

I owned an RC helicopter for a short while, broke the blades in the house flying it, fixed that, took it to the field, pressed UP, and up it went, never saw it again lol It went up so far I almost lost sight of it, the wind caught it, I had absolutely no control or experience, it disappeared over some trees above a field full of cows Hopefully it crashed in the field and not on someone or their car Some kids who were watching started calling me Mr Helicopter, so I gave them the controller and said if they found it they could keep it lol

TouchΓ©. Yet not everybody works in an organised terrorist group.

Good call! If they find the heli crashing into a car, it was the kids. I see you've embraced the dark side πŸ˜€

That would be scary if Hydrogen on its own wasn't so hard to fuse, usually requiring the energy of atomic fission.

Thankfully, it doesn't work that way. There isn't anywhere near enough hydrogen fuel in these to cause any serious damage. Strapping a block of C4 or dynamite to this wouldn't weigh much and cause more damage (with or without hydrogen). All that being said, using these quadcopters are TERRIBLE for attacking anyone considering how obnoxiously loud they are. Depending how this generates energy from hydrogen, it could be even louder than normal. The bigger ones are also relatively ungraceful and sometimes slow.

He does not mean a hydrogen bomb like in a nuclear fusion bomb. Just burn the remaining hydrogen. And i guess you can do that with something as simple as a spark plug. Or am i totally wrong here?

You're probably right. Making a nuclear hydrogen bomb requires an INSANE amount of mass. Hydrogen by itself though, is explosive due to it's reaction with oxygen in the air. Fun fact - when you ignite hydrogen, the outcome is nothing but water.

2 HΒ² + OΒ² = 2 HΒ²O The other comment just made me doubt as he seems so sure πŸ™‚

Where do I pre-order, I'm getting sick of swapping my batteries every 10 minutes, and I'm running 3S 5000mah batteries.

Yeah, actually that was the plan. I'd just use the machine to fly somewhere quite distant, and eventually, to avoid the noise troubles, I'd just try to let it fall to where I want it to blow up πŸ™‚ But yeah, probably not the most efficient approach.
