So it's 18.3.1 but better? Heh feels like that first driver got a bit rushed then. 😀 Oh well, not like it takes much time to update these. 🙂 EDIT: Yeah pretty much, XML profiles are all but identical aside from the driver version and date and as a little bonus these include Vulkan 1.1 support unlike the previous driver. 🙂

will vulkan 1.1 improve on 3dMark's API Overhead test?

I've been successfully running 2 liquid cooled (combo of NZXT, Corsair, and Gelid components) Sapphire B4 R9 290xs since they first came out. Is there or was there a point when I didn't/don't need to continue with driver updates?

You may want to take a look first at this my post: https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/amd-radeon-adrenalin-edition-18-3-1-drivers-download-discussion.419789/#post-5525688 and next this one: https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/amd-radeon-adrenalin-edition-18-3-1-drivers-download-discussion.419789/page-3#post-5527096 I can tell you already: it still is worth to keep drivers for our cards up to date.

Old? The runtime included are from 1.1 Ah but I see you're right, the driver is 1.0.65 now instead of 1.0.75 or file version 9.2.10.14 instead of 9.2.10.18 from the VLK 1.1 compatible drivers. 🙂 Interesting to ship the new runtime but the older AMD Vulkan files.

Stability? Someone need to do proper Wolf 2/Doom testing.... 18.3.2 vs 18.2.3

Bleh. Got terrible crashes in Beyond Earth (Mantle). I have to restart PC a few times in every hour of playing.

Both were stable for me no crashes and not any instability issues. But I choose always the latest package. I don't care about only two/three games with no important boost. Since I use vsync@60.

There's only one very small problem. Since version 18.2.3, AMD Radeon Settings, the graphics drivers own control panel, has been crashing for lots of people using Windows 7 x64 SP1. Posting about the problem on AMD's support forums is useless, due to an army of semi-trolls who seem to live on those forums offering all kinds of idiotic "advice" for problems they have no clue on how to solve. radeon settings won't open in 18.2.3/18.3.1 - Win7 https://community.amd.com/thread/226357 Radeon Adrenalin v18.2.3 won't install the Radeon Settings tool https://community.amd.com/thread/226161 Can't access Radeon setting for 18.2.3 & 18.3.1 https://community.amd.com/thread/226343

Well, faulting module ucrtbase.dll is pointing to Universal C Runtime Library - it's a part of operating system, but it can be updated. Is your Visual C++ Runtime up to date?

The full Visual C++ Runtime redist comes packed in the drivers installer (Packages\Apps\VC15RTx64\vcredist_x64), so one would expect the installer to try to install/update it. Note that version 18.2.1 works fine, this problem started with 18.2.3. EDIT: I checked and the VC++ version that comes with the 18.2.1 drivers (which have no problems with Radeon Settings) is the same one that comes with the latest 18.3.2 drivers, VC++ 2015 v14.0.24123. It's curious that they are including a VC++ 2015 redist with the drivers, the latest version I have installed (because of other programs) is VC++ 2017 v14.10.25008. The 2015 version actually refuses to install. From the log file: [1480:1334][2018-03-13T14:54:39]e000: Error 0x80070666: Cannot install a product when a newer version is installed. Again, the 18.2.1 drivers work fine with the newer VC++ 2017 I have installed.

Didn't fix. The hell. I hate playing long games with that shitty DX11 :/

Crashing on performance overlay on games it did work on poor drivers.

- does to have newest games profile and optimizations it necessary to install amd setting ? or driver only suffice its always in my mind if i install driver via task manager or win update so ffxv for exemple is fixed !? so the driver itself include specific games optimization or not thank you
