I think these minor subbranches aren't what I mean with the major branches.

Contrary to the stuttery mess that was 517.40 on my system, the 517.48 drivers perform well for me.

Yes, that's because shader compile stutter disappears. The flashing is likely caused by your monitor or OLED TV that can't deal well with extreme frame time fluctuations. You wouldn't be seeing flickering with most IPS screens.

does this driver have fix for windows 22H2 ? cheers

I have a IPS monitor does not make a difference. We'll keep it on shader compile 😉

Nah, it is still R515, but a much newer version which made it to 517, it's not the next major branch release. That said, I might test them later just to see how they behave in Destiny2.

I see this issue: [RTX 30 series] PC monitor may not wake from display sleep when GPU is also connected to an HDMI 2.1 TV, and the TV is powered off. [3645633] has just been removed. I surely do hope it hasn't been brushed under the carpet now that the 40-series is here... Especially since the bug existed since the HDMI 2.1 GPUs/30-series released...
data/avatar/default/avatar30.webp
yeah that bug better be squished or fixed, cause everytime i wake system from sleep with my tv connected causes my desktop to randomly flicked when never i hover over something or browse websites ect real annoying

• [Windows 11] Some UWP apps may display lag when G-SYNC is set to "Enable G-SYNC for windowed and full screen mode" and "Vertical sync" is changed from the default value [3753141] This is not the case, Xbox App still gets laggy under this configuration.

This edition of Release Notes describes the Release 515 family of NVIDIA® graphics drivers (versions 515.xx to 520.xx) for Microsoft® Windows® 10 and later
- release 515 family of drivers. While "r517_40_6" - is internal NVidia versioning related to source code repository and build/release process. No one outside of NVidia actually knows specifics and details about these numbers. Source code repository and build/release process in software company can be organized in many different ways (like several parallel branches or main one branch, like dedicated branch for release team, e.t.c.).
