Mr_ALLroy:

https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5145 The hotfix addresses the following issues: Some apps that use NVML may not detect GPU [3200758] Stutter may be observed with some configurations in Marvel's Avengers [3197999] Lenovo Y740 may display corruption on waking from sleep [3178279] Some notebooks may BSOD when waking from sleep while connected to external monitor via dock/dongle [3162411] With HDR enabled, black levels are incorrect. I can confirm that this fixes the elevated blacks issue in HDR.

I think they are still not done laughing at 1080Ti owners (Me included) for paying such a premium for a card that would, with blinding speed, go from from top of the line to somewhere in the lower midrange. 😛

I think that's the 2080ti, the 1080 and 1080ti were cards that had a good and healty 4 years of life and can still max games (without raytracing) at 1080p. Today problems can be solved by downgrading the drivers, there is no point of installing new drivers on those cards since they will only begin to add issues to older gpu.

TY, the nvidia forum has been a mess of drug spam lately so i've only been visiting it minimally. Fill this out: https://forms.gle/kJ9Bqcaicvjb82SdA quickest way to get a bug filed and the issue looked at Have you got hardware accelerated graphics scheduling enabled?

2080 Ti is only 2 years : it s still in the top high end card actually (with a small overclock , u are very closed to 3080)

The 2080Ti with a small overclock is nowhere close to 3080. I own both video cards as stated above the 2080Ti is way overpriced with marginal performance from the previous generation.

If you put that 2080 Ti in a sub-zero state and overclock its most golden chip to its maximum capability, you'll still not reach stock level 3080.

Weird.. in reviews it only show that 3080 is about 20% faster than 2080 Ti and about 26% in RT (even lower in 4K probably due to 1GB Vram more on 2080 Ti), yet 2080 Ti is only 250w GPU while 3080 is 320w (340w while gaming without OC actually) not that bad if you consider how much more power the 3080 needs to be about 20-25% faster. About crashing in Capcom RE based games, I think it's only with HAGS On, cuz I also had crashes with HAGS On even in other games like AC Valhalla or Cyberpunk 2077.

"funny" thing about the flickering is that it only happens in desktop, in-game it's not happening. Only reason I updated drivers was for cyberpunk... cause otherwise I haven't updated them since summer. I hope that nvidia will pull themselves together and fix it in the next driver, I'm fairly sure 1080Ti is still rather popular and to leave an issue like this be just because it's an old card would be a dick move. I know I can go the DDU route and downrank, but I'd prefer not to.

I play mostly in VR or 4K Regardless of what review sites state I found my EVGA FTW3 3080 ultra with stock clocks compared to Aorus 2080Ti xtreme which is overclocked +100 on the core and +1000 on the memory there is 25% to 30% difference between the 2080Ti and 3080.

I'm hopeful that this fixes 3000 series not waking the monitor up after a period of inactivity. The other 460.xx drivers had this issue; I'm currently on 457.51 because of it, lol

I actually thought that my old and trusted Acer XB271HU was dying, or maybe even worse, my 1080Ti. I only get it on the desktop on that screen. My Acer X34A doesn't show it though. I do hope it's fixed soon, there really isn't anything available on the market to replace the GPU with anyway. I was after a 3080 but gave up on it, the seller I bought/"preordered" it from gave no info whatsoever and even was somewhat rude when asking about it so cancelled my order. Looking forward 3080Ti, going from Ti to Ti would be nice. 🙂
