Security bulletin update. Also in the PDF but could be good to have it linked to directly. 🙂 https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4797
Security Bulletin: NVIDIA GPU Display Driver - May 2019 Answer ID 4797 Updated 05/09/2019 11:12 AM NVIDIA has released a software security update for the NVIDIA GPU Display Driver. This update addresses issues that may lead to denial of service, escalation of privileges, code execution, or information disclosure. To protect your system, download and install this software update through NVIDIA Driver Downloads. Go to NVIDIA Product Security. Details This section summarizes the potential impact that this security update addresses. Descriptions use CWE™, and base scores and vectors use CVSS V3 standards. CVE Description Base Score Vector CVE‑2019‑5675 NVIDIA Windows GPU Display Driver contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer (nvlddmkm.sys) handler for DxgkDdiEscape where the product does not properly synchronize shared data, such as static variables across threads, which can lead to undefined behavior and unpredictable data changes, which may lead to denial of service, escalation of privileges, or information disclosure. 7.7 AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:H CVE‑2019‑5676 NVIDIA Windows GPU Display Driver installer software contains a vulnerability in which it incorrectly loads Windows system DLLs without validating the path or signature (also known as a binary planting or DLL preloading attack), leading to escalation of privileges through code execution. 7.2 AV:L/AC:H/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H CVE‑2019‑5677 NVIDIA Windows GPU Display Driver contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer (nvlddmkm.sys) handler for DeviceIoControl where the software reads from a buffer using buffer access mechanisms such as indexes or pointers that reference memory locations after the targeted buffer, which may lead to denial of service. 5.6 AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:H The NVIDIA risk assessment is based on an average of risk across a diverse set of installed systems and may not represent the true risk of your local installation. NVIDIA recommends consulting a security or IT professional to evaluate the risk to your specific configuration. Security Updates The following table lists the NVIDIA software products affected, versions affected, and the updated versions that include this security update. EDIT: Oh and the GeForce forum URL. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1108655/geforce-drivers/official-430-64-game-ready-whql-display-driver-feedback-thread-released-5-09-19-/
Top Issues and Updates: 2543187-When the 3D Settings page->Vertical Sync setting is set to Adaptive Sync (half refresh rate), V-Sync works only at the native refresh rate after rebooting the system. 200515120-Forza Horizon 4: Game may crash when driving through specific tunnel 2583604-Grand Theft Auto V: Brief flicker/corruption when MSAA is used 2587043-Tom Clancy's The Division II: Game may crash when playing in DX12 mode 200485204-Sniper Elite 4: Game may crash when using R400+ drivers
PDF only lists the Adaptive Sync and Sniper Elite 4 issues so the rest are additions beyond what it has. So some tunnel in Horizon 4 and a crash problem, GTA V MSAA flickering and the ongoing issue with Division 2 and DX12 stability which I don't know if that's entirely in driver or something in the game code. But nothing super critical but good to know about for these other three games affected though Division 2 and DX12 stability seems fairly widely known about know.

"[Hitman 2 DirectX 12]: The game crashes." Finally! I love Hitman 2 but have been holding off a bit until this was fixed.

just to note, that doesn't fix the random crash caused by hitting a null shader.

So what's broken in this release?
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/242/242471.jpg
MK11 and 980TI no DSR, win10 v1809 RS5, have to force manually on desktop, still. Samsung C24fg73 @ displayport 1.2 (gpu dp firmware updated to latest) No special scalling in windows settings, at first I had fixed 100%, thought that might cause it, but it's not the case, this happens on older 42x.xx driver too.

Security updates eh? still using the 411.63. the security make references to the file that keep crashing and TDR only in Firefox, which results in Firefox render window flashing when TDR happens. The OS and games i have dont have any TDR issues though. Though those issue in Firefox are rare.

if you have firefox tdrs you have unstable hardware. that was fixed ages ago, and no, it hasn't returned.

if you have firefox tdrs you have unstable hardware. that was fixed ages ago, and no, it hasn't returned.[/QUOTE its not my hardware, I had no such issue with Firefox prior to installing 1803 build windows. That same build used in 1607 build had no issue, around 63.xx the TDR stop and when 65.xx came out it started again and been happen randomly since, no other program no other browsers no other game cause TDR. just Firefox some issue in Firefox is causing that driver reset/TDR. There were other on these forums alone the reported the same thing. all there games and other programs are fine Firefox and Firefox only has these TDR. If it was HW unstable, stressing the hardware when Gaming will do much more stress then Firefox will, especial Witcher 3. but there are ZERO TDR out side of Firefox other wise I of would RMA and replace by now. The issue is contained in Firefox and Firefox only. I not brushing you off but I know it not HW its Firefox.I would be surprised if it combination of Firefox, 1803 build, and 411.63 drivers, cause technical I have not change my nvidia drivers since I install windows. cause I have zero issue with my game or anything other then Firefox and this TDR is a rare thing.
