425 being r418 is something new...

Would have made more sense for this driver to have been called v420.11 rather the v425.11 unless it was intended to be and someone made a typo...

Unlikely as it's still R418.

wtf? nvidia looks completely lost the next driver should be 430.20 based on r388 and called by web designer ready driver

WDDM 2.6 compatible? No. It is still based on R418 branch. :p well thats confusing lol, why the jump to 425 when theres still numbers to use in 419 XD? Release driver branch R418 ran out of numbers in the assigned name space. To accommodate NVIDIA is changing the driver versions for the R418 active release branch to 425.

WIll try the Ark fix tomorrow, been waiting for that for a while now. The versioning of this driver is definitely all over the place. I wonder what the new branch will then end up being called. R430?

Well, they've ran out of versions in 418 and 419 and R420 is WDDM 2.6 branch so this one went in 425 - which I assume may also be the version which the first public release of R420 will get in a week or two.

WDDM 2.6 release driver will be 428 or 430.

The Ark fix in this doesn't seem to work fully yet. Good news is that my system doesn't seem to hang/crash anymore, but Ark still hangs or crashes.

What's all the fuss about WDM 2.6? Just curious... Google Search was inconclusive.

naw, they have done things like 384.1110 ( https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/128737) Nvidia's naming scheme remains a mystery.

It might be cached game data, ark generates a procedural cache for faster map loading, if thats corrupted through any of the crashes previously then it'll just drop you from the game back to desktop.

New Windows 10 build(1903), new WDDM(2.6).

That's a huge leap in version numbers 😯

I'm not playing a procedurally generated map. And I deleted all saved game data and validated the steam files, just to be sure.

little bit of a smoother boost with these using clean version of the hotfix.
