Why do you even care. DX12 performs worse on 980ti than dx11 I've tested even by underclocking my cpu I get worse perfromance
Slightly worse performance, but less CPU usage. Good for those of us in Australia who want to keep heat levels down a notch šŸ™‚ Also, if you enable "reduce latency" above DX12, it actually helps a ton to mitigate the slight loss in performance

because uplay only ran fine in dx12 with working hbao+ (i played this first in that free weekend) and nop when i bechmarked the diffrence is 10fps in dx12 dx11 74.5fps dx12 85fps also steam dx12 overlay cuts away 4-5fps. edit: and its like saying, why do you even care about those black puddles in BF1, its only when it rains. see my point?

So I'm guessing just copying the missing DLL from the Uplay version isn't going to help? I've been wanting to try HBAO in The Division for a month now, but all I'm getting is black everything in DX12 (in addition to broken fullscreen mode).
the game runs fantastic in dx11, you don't have to beta test the dx12 codepath.

seems it is no more, or i'm wrong? edit: links won't work for me, but on nvidia the last driver is still 376.33

I'm not saying you are lying but how come you get a huge boost in DX12. When i play I see decrease or same performance in dx12 on my setup and we have almost the exact same system. Bare in mind i play on 1440p so maybe that's the reason

The driver reset randomly my clock setting of my GPU and my memory in MSI Afterburner. Roll back again to 376.33 no reset of my setting. DX12 in the division HBAO+ doesn't work properly have black shadow.

Seen some posts of people with pretty much the exact same system having variable fps with those two different APIs. Just ran the benchmark with both APIs and for my rig DX12 doesn't seem to help at all, it runs just a tad bit slower and overall seems jerkier compared to DX11. I did a test with uplay only back then.. and like i said steam boosts it too, but only if i disable steam overlay. http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5371629&postcount=38 no jitter here by both. anyway, this hbao bs needs to get fixed too, doesnt matter if its ok in dx11, why promote hbao then. good day.

Win7U 64bit Cod:BO3. Forgot to delete config.ini and on first run after install, the game was stuttery. After deleting, I went back to change settings and game-locked. Ctrl-alt-del, closed the game and restarted. Settings did save from before crash and seems to work "fine". More testing needed. My problem with certain guns causing stuttering still hasn't been fixed, though. As soon as I change gun to L4-siege the game will stutter and that stutter continues throughout that match. Rocket-launcher and PS-06 sniper rifle triggers the same bug. Update: This stuttering bug doesn't show-up when watching match replays. The game is perfectly smooth, so, this bug only happens when actually playing matches which is really puzzling as the L4-siege animation doesn't look smooth like in replays, something weird going on.

That's interesting, I get 10 more FPS at 1440p.

you are comparing 1080 vs 980ti. 1080 do betterin dx12 where 980 ti do better in dx11

well maybe by you, but dont generalise it. @stormyandcold interesting, when i was testing fastsync it crased too black screen and had to close it in taskmanager, this happened after alt+tab, i disabled rtss to check if its smoother with ingame fps limiter, then i alt+tab again and it frezed. the game is smooth here, but only if at vsync and 60fps limit, otherwise it looks abit jittery. im playing it maxed @ dsr 2880x1620.

Thanks for feedback. My latest settings; I am running 1920x1200, 120fov, 240fps, v-sync off, everything else on max except dynamic shadows off, subsurface scattering off, volumetric lighting none, ambient occlusion off, motion blur off. I was running everything maxed-out except motion blur off, still had stuttering bug. Tbh, it doesn't make any difference. I am getting over 100fps here, averaging around 130-150 in-game. I've also noticed that in MP, certain shooting/killing/killed scenarios will immediately trigger stuttering. The closest thing to it I've found is this video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCoENKL1D0s but, that guy's stuttering is very extreme. Mine is similar, but, seems to be triggered by certain weapons and/or fight scenarios. However, the same gfx settings look absolutely smooth when watching a replay. Beautifully smooth in-fact, it's doing my head-in.

obviously. but there was a post saying, "i've been waiting to use HBAO+". we simply pointed out he can use it already, while waiting for the fix, just by switching to dx11.

Thanks, BF1 looking much better with this driver:)

Well yes and no, mostly no because it was ok with normal uplay version in dx12.. But in steam version well something is fckedup, either driver how it handles steam games or steam version of the game. And I want some answers now, since its been almost 1month and numerous so called hotfix drivers. Well I've switched to Ultra AO and keep using dx12 for now.

Ok, these seem like keepers. I had an issue in ESO, were water falls had that neon blue "kind of looked, like the thief treasure troves" though no treasure was present. I also had micro pauses, that were obvious when I was running, that are now gone. Also, my fps has increased, I see 100 fps everywhere now. where it would drop to ~ 80 fps before. I was using the 375.70 drivers before. Windows 10, single monitor, 1080p. Will keep these until something better come along.

I switched to DX11 yesterday to play with HBAO+ and haven't noticed any difference performance-wise since I'm capping it at 1080p@60 anyway. CPU and GPU usage are about the same with everything maxed and shadows set to high, there's no stutter, and pop-in seems identical between the two. Turned off Chromatic Aberration, switched on Neutral Lighting and I just can't stop making screenshots - everything looks amazing, particularly at dusk, dawn and at night. Have there actually been reports of 1070 GTX benefitting from DX12 in Division?

Iirc this has been mentioned already, but you did disable steam overlay? I also think you can disable steam gpu rendering.

its not overlay fault. the only fault with overaly is it can take away ~5-7fps when active. Let nv deal with it, i reported it and thats that. šŸ¤“
