I'm getting massive Matrox Parhelia vibes form the Intel Arc GPU lineup. It's like they thought they'd have a go, but whilst one team went all-in, the company are 40% committed. I think the current Arc series will be forgotten about in a year or two and either Intel will ditch the GPU segment or a successor will come along and actually be competitive.

If they had any possible plans for ditching the gaming graphics card line (they absolutely cannot afford to let go of the server compute cards if they want to stay relevant), I doubt they would have gone out of their way to make public statements about having no such plans. It would be better to give no comments than to lie. At least that's how I see it. Besides, the next generation, by now, would have already been long in development.

By the time they release the next gen arc products , it will go LONG way if they made leaps and bounds with their drivers ,. If anything it will show us they are planning to support their cards .

With so many driver issues and game optimizations to be done i expect Intel release new one daily 😀

The good thing is that Intel seems very interested in improving the performance of their cards through solving driver issues and better optimization. Who knows maybe when they finally get their drivers right, the A770 could end up being as fast as a 3060 ti.

Considering at least 1 company needs infinity for fixes, does not look that bad.

Dare to say maybe even touching a 3070.... But nobody will care in 2026 about that 😛 especially with so few actually owning one .

Will not happen. No matter how much you wish or dream. The problem with alchemist is the spin of silicon has tons of hard errata and can't be fixed by software. Right now they are maximizing the avenue most open to them, their own software deficiencies.
