Additional info: This Hotfix driver includes an older Vulkan runtime library version 1.0.5.1 compared to version 1.0.8.0 included in the 364.91 Vulkan driver. ManuelGuzman has stated that this Hotfix driver includes a fix for performance drop due to P-state bug that was in previous 364.xx drivers.

Meaning, that chopper demo won't crash?

The chopper demo works fine with 364.91 and Vulkan RT 1.0.8.0 on my PC.

You on windows 10? Well it crashes on win10 for me as well like a few reported. Didnt try this driver yet but will soon, although idc about that benchmark demo though was just wondering 🤓

I always like to remove it manually anyways.
Driver installer removes the previous version of the VK runtime during installation.

What are you on about?
What do you like to remove manually? The VK runtime? You don't need to remove it manually as the driver installer removes the previous runtime for you during the installation.

My point was that I never keep the Vulkan driver on my system.
Why? It doesn't exist for programs which don't request it.

The Control Panel crashes for me, I used DDU in Safe Mode first. Windows 10 btw.

For comparison 364.91: R364_00-160 So its totally different sub branch 🤓 Installing now.

I'm still on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit. Well, I can also say that the chopper demo also works fine with 364.96 and Vulkan RT 1.0.5.1 on my PC. 🙂

Works fine now.. It also removed v1.08 vulcan driver and installed 1.051 But funny I still see this chopper spinning around in middle if vsync off, print screen doesn't capture it xD Although compared to um 364.72 and Vulcan 1.03/1.05 driver I gained 9-10fps.. Before ~122-124fps http://s6.postimg.org/93ar5bual/gl_vk_chopper_2016_03_12_17_54_08_843.jpg now ~132-134fps http://s6.postimg.org/7wm69rorh/gl_vk_chopper_2016_04_14_19_59_32_713.jpg

And feedback on overall impressions? Stability, performance? Curious, but, just home on my lunch break and don't have time to really dive into anything.

Interesting..
Yes. That was very quick. Anyone with 400 and 500 series confirm performance has now gone-up across affected games? MSI Furmark (Bindless Furry Torus) showed interesting results; edit: 364.91 = 137-139fps (this was already a 2fps boost from the previous set which was around 135-137fps) 364.96 = 142-145fps So, it looks like opengl performance has increased with this driver.

Same "sub branch" as 364.72 🙂 364.72: r364_69-3 364.91: r364_00-160 364.96: r364_69-15

How come it's not integrated in the driver?
The Vulkan runtime? Why would an API from Khronos/LunarG be integrated into NV's driver? NV's driver package contains the driver which works with the API but you need to install the Vulkan API as well and there's no easier way to do this than with the driver itself. It is basically a 3rd party application packaged with the driver.

I had a fairly weird error in that, for whatever reason, after installing this, Shadowplay could no longer be enabled in GFE. I managed it fix it by uninstalling the GFE that installed with the driver, and downloading/installing it manually. So... hopefully if anyone else had that issue, that may help.

Driver installed without issues. Games play fine, about the same performance as previous drivers. Nothing weird to report. Windows 10, single monitor and video card.
