22.3.1: Fixed Issues Some users on Windows® 10 operating system may observe the absence of the windows transparency aero effect. 22.3.2: Known Issues Some users on Windows® 10 operating system may observe the absence of the windows transparency aero effect. And you can only get it at Adrenalin when switching preferred software version to "optional" unlike with 22.3.1 which you could get with "recommended".

Any one got problems with this driver not signed? I cant get it to work , install ok with install this driver anyway but after restart driver not starts.
Got the same problem with the 22.3.1 drivers; turned out the HDD where I launched the driver installation's developped a bad cluster...

Noticed a weird issue, not sure if present on other very recent drivers due to skipping them, but a report on the official forums points to the same issue under 22.3.1 (link). Being a 5600g, there's a chance it could be polaris+vega related. After playing a video on mpc-be the whole windows gui becomes laggy, so dragging windows around stutters a lot (to the point it can show two mouse cursors, older position over freezed window + current still moving). Other stuff like winX shutdown sub-menu will also lag to show items, same for desktop or explorer right click context menus . A restart is required to return normal behavior. RX480+current w10+ fs dell s2421hs. Doesn't happen on 21.10.2 I've been using for very long, so reverting solves it. Will update this if I find time to investigate further, in case it's related to freesync misbehaving or a turned off tv also plugged to hdmi.

Alley I use mpc hc 1.9.14 and don't have those issues on Win11&22.3.1 that is, try mpc hc it will give you petty much the same functionality without hassle.

Thank you. I've used mpc-hc for very long, and only moved to -be last year exactly because of occasional issues when dragging player window around (prob. when two monitors are connected). Like the window sometimes simply refusing to move when dragging from title bar. Anyway, will check if it only happens on -be. Being able to use separate (and better) scalers for up/down-scale is a major benefit on it, along other small quality of life improvements. Edit: Both mpc-hc 1.9.14 and current 1.9.20 are also affected under 22.3.2 (default settings). Same for current mpc-be using either copy or flipEx presentation. It seems to trigger the bug I need to launch a h.264 clip then fiddle a bit with it, like going fullscreen in and out (double click) a couple of times and maybe using the seek bar. Only then the windows gui starts to lag. Doing a log out/log in is enough to restore regular behavior. Ok, it's FreeSync related. With Freesync disabled for this monitor (S2421HS) I can't cause the bug to trigger when doing as above anymore. But the moment I enable it on AMD CP, mpc can make it happen after those fullscreen in/out dances. On this reddit thread a user mentions driver stalls causing a laggy desktop after exiting games since 22.3.1, cured in the same way by log off/in or restart. Could also point to a related FreeSync issue.

and if you disable amd freesync for only the app? from the profiles add the app, change from amd optimized to off

Tried the 22.3.2 with msfs 2020 in VR with the reverb G2, bad lags, hangs, blackscreens and CTDs. Tested both, the .1 and .2, both the same result, had to go back to 22.2.3 which seems to be the most stable driver for this game 😕

Ty. Reinstalled them to check, I'm surprised it made no difference. Only completely disabling FreeSync right on settings>display seems to prevent it. Sometimes it takes more than 10s of messing with fullscreen on/off, seek, moving window, to trigger the issue. I found no straight way to reproduce it. Well, I'll give it a rest and go back to an older set.

What are you using as a renderer, if you not already try dx11.

I was using EVR CP, that's why I mentioned mpc-hc under default settings (no d3d fullscreen ticked on hc or exclusive fs under be; by default lav on mpc-hc is set to dxva2n while on mpc-be the mpc video decoder was set to dx11, no difference). Probably won't pursue the issue further, as older drivers are fine.

It seems Wattman settings do not reset anymore, which was an issue with the previous driver for me...
They started to reset again. I don't know if this is Windows related or what. Annoying anyway.

they reset in response to driver resets/crashes.

Zero issues with updating from 22.3.1 through the drivers which is a first. I don't think I have ever updated an AMD driver without using DDU in safemode and not had some issue crop up so this is very encouraging considering the new update method through the driver. Hopefully they finally sorted out their horrible update process. All my games are super fluid and zero issues with anything Radeon so far.

Played some Dying Light 2 with these drivers no issues after couple of hours. I also didnt notice wattman resets on boot at all.

Had some lock up with these (and the previous ones). Everything graphics related will just freeze/hard lock, sound keeps playing. Taskmanager not working/showing up, power button still works to shutdown the system.

What were the latest drivers that did work fine? May be a system/voltage issue. I had some blackscreen issues/start menu wouldn't open... Your actual GPU doesn't show up btw.
