And they have reduced the list of "Fixed issues". 😕 Just because they have targeted something for 22.10.2, it doesn't mean that it will be fixed in 22.10.2. They can postpone it for later just as they did it now. 😡

People would be in even more uproar if they labelled something as fixed when it isn't.

What is pretty strange for me is that they only acknowledged the issue for 6000 series. I have RX 5700 XT and still get dropped frames, mouse lagging and other issues related with/to hardware acceleration. I hope they will fix it for my card also.

I just updated to this driver on my tiny STX ASRock Desk Mini X300 with a Ryzen 5700G and the driver seems fine , no problems to report yet.

I know we've spoken about this before, but which additional extensions have you identified as missing and required by apps that you use?

Of course. So many months they just change the version number without real bug fixing or implementing new features (something more useful than the "Noise Suppression").

Except that's not what they are doing. They don't mention a fix has already been implemented. "Resolution targeted for 22.10.2" just means they are planning/hoping for it to be in 22.10.2.

GL_NV_depth_buffer_float for example. all mandatory extensions and functions are implemented, but AMD cut off a lot of optional (not only third party) extensions, where a lot of games and software used them for performance or richer feature set reasons.

Well, 22.5.1 was released in may, since may i wasn't able to use these "improved" driver versions due to "their" bugs! 22.5.2 - 22.8.1 these drivers produced crazy flickering in the VR headsets, 22.8.2 fixed that, but they put in the Vegas Pro color bug, so i am not able to cut any video i recorded. Only solution was to stay with an old driver with their high end gpu. You have to take it with humor lol 🙄

GL_NV_depth_buffer_float has already been acknowledged as far as I'm aware (RPCS3 Dev reached out on Reddit a while ago). Can you provide an actual list of impacted apps?

Ah nice to see
Driver timeout may occur using HEVC hardware encoding on Radeonâ„¢ RX 6000 series GPUs. [Resolution targeted for 22.10.2]
is listed and they provide a target version to fix issues with this release.
