Just noticed the OP already has download links, I'm downloading now.

No division fix for crossfire, though I didn't expect it as the problem was revealed only 2 days ago. So they disabled new powersaving algorithm to maintain clocks. I still hope they will add option for it later, when they have fixed it. Vulkan 🙂 Edit. I read the notes too hasty, they did add option to enable powersaving aswell. Seems like Sammarbella's petition did bear fruit quite quickly (though I believe they were already working on it as it was already been reported to them). Anyways extra pressure surely must have helped to push things.

This new direction shows. They're proving on a monthly basis that they're actually listening to users and they're trying to amend for past times. Great news for all of us. Hoping the new drivers have squeezed out another small improvement for my card. It's crazy how much the 280X (HD 7970) has improved over the last 9 months or so.

Power Efficiency Toggle = well that's pretty cool. Why would one NOT turn it off though? Why not just trash these silly "optimizations" at this point? Oh well, at least thanks for the toggle 🙂 EDIT: better test that toggle see if it survives reboot, just saying from past experience of mine of things not sticking (even if they SHOW that they did)

I want to use it gamebased. For example it works great in world of warships. I'm cpu capped there at roughly 75 fps anyways. So why would I want to run my card at 1100 on core all the time, when 500-600MHz gives me exactly same performance, while using less power and making less noice (granted F-X is already quite silent). Now we have the choise to do that

So what exactly is Capsaicin? Is that like a Crimson successor or totally unrelated to drivers?

I've not used crimson too long yet. Is it safe to update from inside radeon settings ?

Power Efficiency Toggle: A new feature introduced in the Radeon™ Settings Gaming tab for select AMD Radeon™ 300 series and AMD Radeon™ Fury X available under "Global Options". This allows the user to disable some power efficiency optimizations.
What so this doesn't work for 200 series cards but works for 300? Can anyone confirm?

I bet they're gonna show Fury X2 at 14. 16.3 seems pretty good. Glad to see that they are doing something about drivers.

So they fixed the gears of war performance on selected gpus while ignoring the r9 200 cards. And lets not forget the r9 fury cards performance in the rise of the tomb raider. Great. :bang:

core issue not fixed even turning off the power saving feature in the Global Tab. well there's a a surprise, core clock issue not fixed. Back to the 3rd party programs to lock it. GPU1 left, GPU2 right, 120fps limit, as you can see dropping to 500/600mhz on the cores when only doing 68fps. https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1510/25628944146_c8fc5c1a67_b.jpg

the 300 series is the 200 series
Don't be sure, dude. Look at AMD's drivers page, they noticeably splited 200 and 300 series, even both of links lead to the same package. Dunno why but they did it.

It works on the HD7970, so it would work on R9 200 Series. Where did you get that it doesn't work? :3eyes:
