Enabling RT reflections in Chorus still crashes to desktop on 6900xt and 6700xt on two different systems has been doing so since 22.10.2, reported it to the developer and AMD.
Texture flickering or artifacts may occur during Warhammer 40,000: Darktideā¢ gameplay.
This also occurs on Nvidia, slight flickering on character models.
Doesn't matter because the games performance is horrendous, it is full of memory leaks and poor performance over time.
Thanks for this one
Quick quote for this one
"After our next generation cards release, there will be a new driver and I'm sure many of these issues will get resolved. Over and out."
"We also plan yearly "big software releases". That is our opportunity to do more of the bug fixing / sustaining work. That's usually the best time to get a nice stable, well tested driver."
Tbh, i expected something like that. That's why i had suspicions, that driver releases could've been faster, but it is slow as if they are rerouted resources for other things at this moment.
And it makes sense as 7900 XT and 7900 XTX are on the horizon and they should not f*** up this launch that can redeem them at least partially
Soo... i am hopeful, i guess.
Fixed Issues
AMDRSServ.exe may cause GPU utilization to remain at 100% after closing games on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeonā¢ 570.
That was unexpected. Even if took took more than a year to fix, it's a big relief for Polaris users (as these cards could lose support without it ever fixed).
At least one user on the amd forums has confirmed the fix working after exiting 2077. I also had it after Doom Eternal on Vulkan, but don't have any of those games installed atm to check.
Im going so crazy right now i only connected bare minimum to my psu no argb or anything just 2 nvme 1 storage gpu mainboard fans pump open case psu externally placed 1300w g2 that always been stable and has low ripple im willing to bet if my assumptions are correct i will either crash within couple of hours or start crashing after 3 days due shader cache issue cos shader cache is always reset upon new driver install and i always have no issues first couple of days then everything becomes a problem, if already tested new ram kit im seriously fed up with AMD drivers and their crappy tech support not realizing im complaining about drivers not hardware.
I may just replace the mainboard as well at some point to rule that out as well cos i need spare mainboard for my truenas system anyway
Just for fun im gonna run wallpaper engine as well cos then i freeze under 2 minutes surely should't be problem for my psu right ?
When I first got a RX 580 a while back, I had certain games crash randomly and frequently, and it turned out to be bad RAM settings (my 2700X can't handle 3600MHz presented from DOCP). It largely affected Vulkan games, but not D3D11.
At this point I'd be running Linux and seeing if games still crashed there. If they crash on Linux, then it's hardware-related.
If got a dual rank 2x 16 gb kit and 4x 8 gb ram kit both have freezes it does not make a difference neither will different psu which i am testing now
