AMD is not shipping such profiles for Zen 3, you get a power slider instead. You are aware ryzen master is completely seperate to the chipsetdrivers? 2.6.0.1692 was made available for compatibility with Zen 3.

I installed Asus Version 2.11.26.106 which came out yesterday too and I asume theres no difference?

Asus version? Just cut the middleman and grab your drivers from AMD, no board partner gets "special" cpu drivers. As for the dude above with the plan problem, there is no such thing as a 5000 series power plan. W10 balanced with the power slider from the power & sleep menu is how you're supposed to manage your CPU in W10 now.

Astyanax Youre absolutely right about this. Not sure how i missed this.

I have balanced and ultimate performance modes, also 2 hidden profiles.....high performance and power saver

I'll be giving these a miss, like the last ones :P

They are only really useful for laptops to be honest.

On other hand if you want to OC, the plan is full on, and you would better use the bios... With really light OC, Ryzen Power Plan have always been an issue for me, and Ryzen master despite more in the "detail" doesn't reach what i can do with the bios... (even more when i don't use windows of course)

That's there for Zen2 too in the settings but I am curious as to the hardware advancements or improvements that allowed a full removal and deprecation of the power profile in entirety compared to the older CPU models. Another little improvement and tweak for the better I suppose. 🙂 EDIT: Oh and just as a general mention even with the slider being there I am fairly certain AMD still recommends that Zen2 CPU's actually are on the AMD power plans for their other tweaks compared to the stock balanced or high performance OS profiles. EDIT: Curious about the refresh too and Warhol and if it's the IO and chip for that or not. Can't think of anything more AMD can refine with Zen3+ so a die shrink of that maybe memory compatibility depending on motherboard and RAM quality and capabilities of course nailing down that 1900 to 2000 infinity fabric speeds and pairing with the 3866 to 4000 DDR4 kits though that might still not be quite that simple to achieve. But that and an eventual AM5 or Zen4 or the X600 motherboards well that is for later on, will be fun to see what AMD has planned though. 🙂

these went fine on my B450F

Can't install them on my x570 Dark Hero/5900x, previous version was fine. Keeps telling me I need a system update even though my windows is completely up to date. https://i.imgur.com/3J0OHnT.png Getting the same error with the previous version now too. First dive into AMD and now issues with a simple chipset driver update.

I have a 3700x. Should I be using Windows power profiles these days then or still use Ryzen balanced? Thanks!

I too missed this a while ago, I reinstalled the chipset drivers multiple times as I couldn't find the ryzen power profiles. Then I learned that these chips no longer need them due too the core layouts now being 8 core CCX designs, and there is virtually no core hopping anymore with the older 4 core CCX designs.

Check which version of Windows you have, type winver into search box and make sure you are using the latest October 20H2 update.

1000, 2000, 3000, desktop and laptop CPU's should all be using the Ryzen Balanced profile for the best performance.

It is, there's no updates for Windows when you run Windows Update either, not to mention the previously installed drivers no will not install again throwing the same message. https://i.imgur.com/qgKaBC6.png Hey I'm not ragging on AMD, but I never EVER had this with any Intel rigs, to the point it looks like I need to reinstall Windows after a week of having the machine.

uninstall the driver clean pc with ccleaner or just wipe the contents of the temp folder clean windows update folder also delete all contents (run windows diskcleanup) reboot run sfc /scannow run dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth reboot run windows update again to check for updates install latest driver package. probably don't need to do all of these steps but they could help. I've been on an X370 board and now an x570 and I've not had a single issue updating anything. I do find sometimes that Windows update can cause corrupted files so running sfc and/or dism can help.

System Restored to a image at 4:40pm today, so all is working. I did just run the updated driver over the top of the old one and it installed fine. Did that because nothing happened when I tried to uninstall the driver, it just sat there. Or should I try uninstalling again to start it fresh?
