Not the same developer. Also, game looked and was running great. It was that cringy lady power and shity story. Gameplay was also stale.

we will need 3 different dev teams to work on it one after the other , change the graphics engine somewhere in between and start over and about 10 years of delay ! Has long way to go to catch up to dnf ! :P

Maybe somebody complained that they are not gender correct so it's in the making a parallel story where you are a female doom slayer and when you hack demons with the chainsaw beauty products will pop up from their guts...

Must be because of raytracing, even tho i don't have an rtx gpu i'm excited to see how it will look and how optimised it will be. Considering how well doom 2016 runs , i think it'll be worth the delay.

One's got to love how people are turning normal topics into SJW stuff so they can make sarcastic jokes about SJW stuff because they don't like it... then don't bring it up guys. It's kind of getting boring and annoying. Other than that I have to agree with other gurus, as long as it's good, a delay is acceptable. Coming from times when this was actually not too uncommon.
