Seems a little niche but is a cool idea. One potential use case for this is if you have a single laptop for personal and work use, where you plug it into the dock and boot through USB, where it loads a different OS and different applications. When you're done for the day, you shut down, unplug it, and the computer boots back up into your "normal" OS.
