A game look forward too. But lately I think I better accept that I dont have what it takes run ultra. Makes me wanna wait a bit more for upgrade. As both Dishonored 2 and Deus Ex Mankind divided is game I look the most forward too. I think will not upgrade my gpu from after AMD has released a 1070 contender. Then I will vote with my wallet which brand that gets my money.

The RAGE engine sucks donkey balls TBH, I've never had a game that uses it play smoothly on my PC, apart from the latest DOOM, which uses a newer version than the one being used for DH2 ..the performance metrics speak volumes as to just how bad this build of the RAGE engine is that they're using.

I read reviews about bad performance on steam today and I'm just disappointed. I was waiting for this game because I love first one but it's just waste of money if even my new RX 480 would not get 60fps @ ultra. I'm really tired of crappy ports and badly optimised games lately. Can't those dumb developers do their job? And that price... 60€ for crap. Thank you but no.

the size of games its another disaster in modern gaming also steam uplay orgin theses online stores now you cant have a game collection on your shelf or cabinet , they could have put games on usb sticks in a case with the manuel l much prefer a physical collection of games but its as good as extinct now

steam forums are awash with unhappy customers , which to be honest i think it's been a poor year for PC games ,apart from BF1 . PC gaming is going to be over at this rate , we will be forced into consoles , but at least you would have guaranteed performance at a cheap price , feed up with spending thousands of pounds on the PC just to get shafted , and have to wait weeks for patches if you're lucky . Im going to try the new xbox i think next year ,if the performance numbers are good at least it will be cheaper than one high end graphics card ,if i dont like it ,or can't get use to the controller i'll give it to a family member

hey how about that. Another PC port that plays like crap, is poorly optimized, that will be purchased by so many people only to find that they get crappy performance out of their higher end hardware. Seriously. When will PC users stop supporting crap like this and just boycott games that are neglected from working properly on the PC platform. VOTE WITH YOUR WALLETS FFS

This was always going to happen.. people also preferred physical copies of movies and cds as well, but honestly its better overall to produce less physical media. There is no need for it any more and as download and access speeds increase, they will become less and less common.

Looks like this year is a fail in gaming.Maybe only Shadow Warrior 2 or Civ VI will make a good point. 2015-2014 what a year for gamers! 🙂 The Witcher 3 at lauch was like 30GB,now D2 game has 60GB,CodIW ~70GB,wtf!They dont know how to compress high textures??? Shadow Warrior 2 have ~15GB,but what a game! "Figured it out - it's the TXAA anti-aliasing. It uses it even on Low detail, and it's a hog even on my GTX 1060. The difference between FXAA High and TXAA is the difference between 60 and 20fps in larger, busier scenes." https://twitter.com/dominictarason/status/796722532799938560 GG GimpWorks forever.

As usual, not pre ordering paid off. When i bought the first game, and i couldn't buy the DLCs afterwards, i needed to buy the whole thing again, so this time i just wait for GOTY right away. Region locks are so awesome, they save me money lol.

When you see that the amd fx processor is matched with i7 when is paired with gtx1070 and with rx480 is nowhere you can understand that nvidia has gimp another game:banana::bang::bang:

That's more like the usual amd driver overhead thing.

The typical garbage Bethesda releases... so done with these guys.

If that was the case, you'd see the nVidia card paired with the AMD cpu since driver overhead from AMD gpu's is more noticable on an AMD cpu.

Sorry, but is this new to you? Its always been like this except for the heyday of pc gaming. But everyone here still does it because dammit, we love this stuff! In all seriousness, its seriously disheartening to see that barely any cards can run 1440p at 60 fps. The graphics do not look THAT good....Lets just hope there are some patches coming down the pipe to shape this up a bit. Edit: And thanks for the review HH!

Ah, you forget that NOT everyone has access to high speed net, plus there's always the worry about data cap for some in certain countries. For me, I'd prefer to have the physical media discs to install the game in my various rigs. For Doom when I'd first gotten the disc, I was shocked that only 8-9GB was installed, with the remaining ~40GB to be downloaded from the net, would you like to guess how long it took me to download the rest with my slow as molasses net connection? For Steam, at least when I have the game fully downloaded and installed, I can simply back up the game and install it in my other rigs, I'm not sure if Uplay/Origin has a similar functionality, hence my reluctance to buy games from Origin/Uplay, unless I can get the games on physical discs like BF1 and Titanfall 2. IF these games were available via online download, I'd sure as hell NOT have gotten them.

I bet most of those 60GB are multi-language voice and video.

There are some areas in the game where fps is considerably worse than in these benchmarks. This is one of the most unoptimized games I've ever played. What's worse it looks as if it was released several years ago. To Arkane Studios: If You Can't Code,Don't Mess With Engines. Turning idtech5 (that is worse than absolutely glorious idtech6 but still is more or less fine) into this turd is achievement in itself.
We are aware that some of you may be encountering issues with Dishonored 2 on PC.
Bethesda recommends fixes for Dishonored 2 performance: turn down your settings
Miracle patch is not happening guys. PS And say hi to your greedy bosses at Bethesda. They wanted to save some money but instead all this is gonna cost them in lost sales\refunds etc.

60? The game is "only" 37 GB, although if you meant DOOM the majority there is the texture data, game itself is some 20 GB without that, I forgot exactly since I uninstalled the game after completing it since all post-launch content is multiplayer focused. As for this game 3.45 GB is videos via bik2, 400 MB is cached shader data, 5.8 GB for the game data (levels and such.) and finally the texture data at 27 GB. (idTech5 indeed. :P )

Hey HH, I read at various occasions that TXAA is enabled across the board and in all settings. Since you want to add additional cards, could you figure out how much of a toll the alleged innate TXAA enforcing takes on all the cards? This sounds almost like another Bethesda tech-enforcement, such as the GodRays were in FO4. Buggers would keep on coming back unless you worked around it explicitly. So I'd not be entirely surprised if there's something to those rumors.
