This game runs like complete a$$! It doesn't look even remotely good enough to bring a GTX1070 to it's knees, let alone the countless other good cards this game thrashes.
Hopefully those suffering through it get some serious patching and soon.

The benchmark is mostly cpu limited. I get the same average running at 1080p and 1440p. Ingame framerates are much better.
I think DX12 will help the benchmark in those cpu limited scenarios.

Easy choice for me, wait and see and if nothing changes, I don't buy it. Job done.

Quick tip, don't use the ingame sharpen as it is too strong, use reshade/sweetfx to add some instead (at 1.60 strength it looks fine to me). The ingame temporal AA is very good at smoothing jaggies (way better than the injectable smaa solution) but it blurs the heck out of everything and the exagerated sharpen doesn't exactly help.

Personally I'm fine with the performance, it did a good job on setting proper settings from the get-go, but I removed motion blur, upped the texture resolution to high and apart from a few hick-ups it works just fine at 1440p.
Happy to see that there are so many settings in place.

The game runs at solid 60fps@1080 on my 980 on high (without msaa, volumetric lights on, no tesselation), performance wise i have nothing to say.

I'm sure he's gonna do an update every few days...changing cards/drivers for every benchmark can take some time.

The state that PC games are in these days ,it may just be better trying out one of the new next gen consoles that are on there way out soon ,if they have the hardware power we need to have 60fps constant i may consider giving it ago , it would be hell of a lot cheaper than upgrading the PC all the time if you're only playing games and don't mind that controller that comes with the consoles . I mean we spend thousands of pounds every year on our PC hardware and if you're lucky with the game,, maybe you well get 60fps .
Buy a next gen console when they come out and have a extra family holiday every year instead , lol ...

Biggest problem for me here is that this "looks" like a game that on high settings should run at 60 fps at 1080p on my old 7970ghz but the reality is that it takes more than 2x the gpu horsepower to achieve that.

im very excited about this game in general but im waiting for patches & some feedback before committing. im not jumping in headfirst to this one. i loved DX:HR, not as groundbreaking as the first - but a worthy successor. IW left a very bad taste in my mouth, however...
anyway this game doesnt seem to be very well optimized although from the screenshots ive seen it does look nice. thanks for the quick benches!
odd. they dont give you a slider? its just a toggle?
