This is one of the games I wanted for PS4, so now I don't have to buy a PS4 for it! I'm super pumped.

Some steep recommended specifications. Wonder if that is for 4K or something, when Vulkan should only improve performance on PC. Hard to say though how good this game looks maxed out, but I always assume recommendation doesn't point at maximum settings. With Vulkan it's pretty likely that RX 580 surpasses PS4 graphics with a higher framerate at 1080p, if this game has no framerate lock. GTX 1060 could be further behind, but still should manage slightly better than PS4 quality graphics with higher framerate. PS4 Pro runs this game at checkerboarded 2160p and with better lighting than the base model, so I wonder what kind of GPU we need to match that?

Looks good but one problem, It use vulkan api and that means no SLI at all, no matter what you do. I was looking else where that in the future, something about vulkan planning on doing sli support, can someone confirm this please? In some cases Vulkan loses performance, well from what I tested on my system with doom game, open gl kicked booty over the vulkan api, I was quite shocked. Hopefully sli support with vulkan api be implemented in the future, game sure does look promising though.

Whoa. Yeah, you're right--hopefully that's 4K, especially for a console port. I remember when we used to play games on toasters. Now I feel there's been an exponential leap in hardware overhead in games for no tangible improvement in graphics. Makes me pine for the days during the Xbox 360 where console ports manageable specs, relative to the quality of graphics.

Sad to see they are going to Epic. I may consider it once it is on steam.

Wow, 12 gigs of RAM preferred. I guess the days of 8GB being enough are well and truly gone now - not that it has really been adequate for a couple years now.

Why? You have something against devs making a bit more money? Core game prices haven't gone up since 2005, and Steam eats 30% of that, vs Epic's 15% (or their own client that eats zero). There will come a time in the near future when publishers will pass that cost on to you - is using just Steam worth an extra $10-20 per game to you?

Few games like Star Citizen already asks for 16gb. I think 8gb ram is on the low side quite a while now.

IF that 2700K + 12GB RAM + GTX1080 is for 1080P, then my HTPC will struggle @4K, guess I'll have to tone down ingame video settings to net some extra framerate. Although I have a 2600K, I have it at 4.2ghz so it should be fine...

How much went player base around the world up? Economics are lost on some people. And it is not that I like steam that much. It is about disliking Epic's instability. In 10 years I do expect steam to be around and delivering games. I can't say same about Epic Launcher.
