In some countries we celebrate de April Fools' Day on December 28th(it´s called innocents day, but is the same idea), I doubt that DELL is in one of those countries

Should we be impressed with TN running at 60Hz?
I had such monitor almost 10 years ago... 😕
On the other hand, this could be a New Year gift to all the gamers around the world, free of charge, distributed by Santa Claus...

Here is another link to explain a little more.
http://www.blurbusters.com/sony-motionflow-impulse-mode-reduces-motion-blur-without-interpolation/
I tried a couple of tests of their website, I was shocked to see no blur from my TV when compared to my monitors while my Korean monitor was overclocked to 96hz.
I know I will get some hate for what I am going to say but 60Hz is good for gaming as long as you have the right monitor or like in my case a TV.
Let me explain, since I found out about Sony's impulse gaming mode on their TVs, I was blown away. It reminded me a lot to my old CRT.
I sold my Korean monitor and I only play on my 60 inch TV. It requires 60hz to get the full effect, and coupled with DSR, my gaming is awesome...lol
Here is a quote and link from an AVS member describing how Impulse mode works
"The Motionflow Impulse Mode is a new Sony strobe backlight now available in Game Mode on several newer higher-end Sony HDTV's. What is amazing about it is that it is one of the world's first low-latency motion blur reduction technology to hit an LCD HDTV, that is available during Game Mode. No interpolation lag! It flickers a LOT like a 60Hz CRT, so it is not as easy on everybody's eyes as LightBoost. However, if you turn the lights down a little bit, and also turn off the ambient light sensor, the image becomes brighter than a projector screen, and when you play video games -- you have an amazing 4x less motion blur (4 times the motion resolution! All blu-rays motion tests show full 1080 lines of motion resolution with zero interpolation artifacts). Motionflow Impulse is doing the equivalent of a 3:1 black frame insertion (75% dark, 25% bright).
The advantage of Motionflow Impulse is that it works with all 60Hz sources, including video game consoles. Bear in mind that most console games only run at 30fps, so you won't get the full benefits from 30fps games (you get a double-image effect like when playing on plasma). You will probably want to stick to 60fps games, which is easier to get from a HTPC running a powerful GPU.
Main Pros:
+ Elimination of motion blur. CRT perfect clarity motion.
+ No interpolation. Low lag.
+ About 4x less motion blur than regular 60Hz
+ Better color quality than a computer monitor
Main Cons:
- Greatly reduced brightness in strobe mode. (Disabling ambient light sensor helps)
- Flickers a lot like a 60Hz CRT
- You need 60fps @ 60Hz for full benefits (since you're avoiding interpolation)"

well TN nowdays not selling good
as IPS display price is already low and it just better then TN in many aspect
marketing as gaming monitor is not bad idea imo
it mean to low-end monitor
many people somewhat think that gaming device = high end product
but the real is in PC gaming there are tiers just like GPU and other parts
maikai
I thought they were maybe giving these away

60hz is not bad for gaming. My Samsung monitor is a TN panel with 5ms response time. I don't get any input lag. Why would I care about the viewing angle if I'm sitting right in front of it? If you have a multi monitor setup IPS is the obvious choice. My picture is brilliant. I use Vsync and pretty much everything plays at a solid 60fps. I'm sure most people here have the visual acuity of a falcon and would notice the difference.....seriously. These panels tend to not be pricey compared to IPS panels anyway. Mine was only 90 bucks on sale.
