Actually looks pretty nice, and being dell will be decent. No sign of quantum dot, 10 bit or HDR though 🙁

WUT, 4ms response time for 120Hz and 160Hz, that's too slow for 120Hz & 160Hz - I'm thinking blurriness!

When it comes to pricing, there is no bigger consumer rip off in the PC component sphere, than monitor prices.
..and Dell sits comfortably on top of all the other rip off merchants that populate the market.

So theres never ever a 144hz 29" ultrawide monitor coming?

Whenever I see a monitor news article I hold my breath. Again though, not for me. I can attest that Dell does good monitors though (and even better warranty), but here it's clear that the Alienware branding adds a lot to the cost.
I have a U2711 for like 7-8 years now and it's the best monitor I ever had image quality wise. It pisses me off that the only viable upgrade option price/performance wise is a TN Dell S2716DG. All other IPS variations out there are an extreme lottery (and insane price). 😡

user's_guide_en-us.pdf tells it indirectly:
Luminance output 300 cd/m² (typical) = not HDR, because HDR needs ≥1000 cd/m²
Color depth 16.77 million colors = 256(R) x 256(G) x 256(B) = 8-bit per color.

Or you can get PG348q for less.

And to think I paid less than half that of the lesser monitor for mine (LG 34UC79G-B). No regrets whatsoever. Okay so, I only get 144 Hz instead of 160. And mine is AMD Freesync. Don't care.

As everyone knows!!, I'm another U2711 owner since 2010 and it's a lovely IPS screen, no complaints really but we love upgrading our stuff...............
Right now the 34" Asus IPS curved screen at approx £980 UK is my best option + a custom 1080Ti to go with, using SLI tweaked EVGA 780's I'm currently good for Battlefield 1 at max quality settings on my U2711 so I also feel a bit stuck because of the problems nowadays with most games not scaling up with SLI.
The 35" Dell screen is +20Hz and 1" wider than the Asus but £980 plays a likely price in the UK of £1,500 for the 35" Dell, do I want to pay £1,500 for a new gaming monitor? NO I don't so all this upspec = new gaming monitors for 2018 at £1,500 - £2,000.
And Volta is not going to be the new Messiah, when have NVidia given us any big upgrades?
