Most likely a great case if it comes after the R4. Just built my new HTPC into an R4 (the white parts you don't even see, since I got it dampened), and Fractal Design cases seem to be pretty decently built.

Not exactly an case I would use for an HTPC, I prefer my HTPC case horizontal and an mATX case like my Lian-Li PC-C37B case that I use.

Nice i was hoping the moved HDD to the back of mobo tray like they did with the Define S, as the R5 have removeable ODD cage and the S has no option for it

Hehe yeah, tastes differ. I had that case standing around gathering dust, and enough space to use it, plus my old gaming rig's components which actually aren't quiet, so I'm happy I had the case in store. And as I said, it's quite handy, and the quality is good. So I meant to say, nothing bad about Fractal Design's cases, the one I know is still decently manufactured and easy to handle.
