Have they changed the mounting system or do they still rely on the hollow screws that break the mounting plate rods?

The fan in the above picture would move air into the CPU cooler.

That would mean in this picture that the air flow would be moving from the back of the computer into the CPU cooler which would then be blow out as hot air to the front of the computer. This is all happening while the CPU fan is battling the airflow from the exhaust fan mounted on the back panel of the computer case?
This is unless the fan in question is incorrectly positioned in the first photo or air is drawn through the blades of the fan backwards to how a standard fan design works?
