The absolute cheapest/worst Kingston 32GB kits (4800 CL40) are just 155€ in Germany right now. Those started at 260€ in late 2021, reached 350€ in early 2022 (alder lake launch?). With 8000 or even 10000 MTS speeds announced, it doesn't make too much sense to get one of the currently available high end kits (like 6400 CL 36 or whatever) for 400€, those might be like a DDR4 2666 (better than minimum spec, but outdated very quickly) equivalent rather soon.

nah the uArch is mature, the fabs know this is the market moving forward. that is saying without some market interruption like war in Asia or Kovid (the horror game version). the truth is the price of DDR 4 is about as low as it can go. in two years time DDR 4 will rise in price just like DDR 3 and DDR 2 did because of shrunken inventory and "niche" fabbing. the big memory fabs have expanded schedules because of AMD's announcement, which was made to that point as they need the lead time. a few companies have already gone all-in which is why the price has fallen, not the popularity of Alder Lake.

Ddr4 needs to drop too, ive seen a big price spike since november/december and it stays around that , still today.. It was the time "when" they trolled oh noes shortages and what not, pure lies like all the stuff lately with news in it.
