I'm playing it in Offline mode, and I really like it. Lots of issues ( all of which I managed to fix back in the day ) are fixed here out of the box, 3440x1440 with proper 21:9 scaling, properly localized interface. Overall it plays better and looks much better, slap Reshade on top of it and it's fantastic. The only bug I have is when you exit the game, it disables mouse acceleration on Windows. If anyone has a fix/workaround to this that would be much appreciated. My solution right now is to sign in/ out of Windows.

This is what the original PC version should have been. Well, minus the minor changes to lighting and the increased multiplayer cap. It's ridiculous that they want to charge owners of the original DkS for what is essentially a long, long overdue patch. Without DSFix the original release would have never become popular because of how bad the port job was. It's like the Scholar of the First Sin fiasco all over again. At least in that case the PC version wasn't a broken mess, even though it was badly handicapped by console limitations, and SotFS at least had a little bit of new/changed content.

I honestly don't like how this looks so much worse overall than the original after DSfix, and what I'm seeing them compare it to is stock Dark Souls without DSfix. I'm hoping that a few weeks or months after this version comes out, they'll put up the original game again, even if it's the same price. "Remastered" games are always worse than the original game, I've found. If given the choice of one or the other, I'd take the original. AFAIK, the only one I've seen do this kind of thing properly is CDPR.

"The game that defined the genre" lol. Guess they didn't get to play Deathtrap Dungeon and all the hard as nails 3rd person fighters.

Or even Demon Souls. I don't see the point of a Dark Souls remaster with DSFix around, but I'd gladly pay for Demon Souls Remaster, especially if they brought it to PC.
