WTF?! Hope it's true!

I've never played any of the games, but it would be nice if the original was "fixed.
I expect this to be quite expensive though, even if they do give owners of the original game a discount. They might not even do that though.
Hoping they mean new textures and not just upscaled though.

Well I didn't even brought the DS 2 or any other prior to DS1, but I'm curious to see the improvements to the main game.

Nintendo first party games are top notch and now with third party dev support Switch success is unstoppable.

I wouldn't mind proper vista textures and II+III type multi directional rolling. If it's just a direct asset port to the III engine with the faster animations and combat system I'm not sure im all that interested..

Came here to post about this, lols!
PC will be native 4K, uncompressed 2K textures and 60 fps acc. to Kotaku!
Yes yes yes! I know what I'll be doing this summer!
It would be extra cool if you could use your DS original character / save game but I don't mind starting over at all.
Praise the port 😀

Yeh but I'll gladly pay full price too, MSRP for console versions is 39.99 USD so not too bad, Steam version could be cheaper still.
Given DS 3 was a solid PC port this should be solid too I dare assume.

Huh, but that's incomplete. Where's Cuphead?

I played the 2nd and the 3rd Dark Souls. I was waiting for some discount (and mostly free time) to start playing the one (that costs 20 usd in steam). Now with this news.. I better wait for this one and start playing with anyone else in this remastered wave.

I own DS1 but could never really play it due to horrible kb+m support. I am just not a controller guy. If this has the right support and doesn't just feel tacked on I just might have to try it.

Supposed to be 50% off on steam for owners of the original so ~$20/€20

Remastered in 4K...trailer maxes out at 720p. 😛

After paying full price for the original crappy port, I should get this for free.

Currently started playing Dark Souls 1, with lots of fixes (hell, to make it work properly on 21:9 was PAIN) and 98fps cap + graphical improvements. Nice grim game, a bit cheesy Asian style, but nice.
