Glad that the 2.5G trend start to gain more traction. I cabled my house with CAT6E cable and for now it is @ 1Gb speed. But I am waiting for upgrading everything to 2.5G as soon that NICs, switches have more availability and comes down in price a little.

Soooo, why exactly would I turn the Turbo mode off? At what point would I like my Ethernet switch to be a little more crap?

Aquantia 10G Ethernet cards for 65$ per card, I have a bunch of these from same company but gen 1 with smaller heatsink and they great, zero issues, these new updated models have 3 times bigger heatsink and proper commercial looks [mine has red PCB lol]
Then get any SFP+ switch and use 10G J45 transceivers, they can be found for 40-60$
In all such Acceleration options, Low Latency always lowers total bandwidth, you need to choose one or the other
I think its the opposite, Jumbo Frames when Turbo mode switched OFF [Jumbo frames increase latency] and when Turbo-ON, Jumbo Frames Off, to get better latency
