Man, CD Project gathered so much attention for Cyberpoonk. I hope their game will live up to the hype it created. Meanwhile, I should finish Witcher series...

Maybe cause the post apocalyptic setting was now looking similar to reality so they have to change few things ! :P

Maybe this has changed due to new console release...

CD Projekt Red confirmed a while back crossplay multiplayer. It isn't surprising to delay the launch due to next generation of consoles inbound. Xbox one x Cyberpunk edition or ps4 pro will never offer comparable competitive performance to current Gen, not mention next Gen gpus. So, it is a wise move, marketing wise.

They have said that although it will run on the new consoles, it will be in the standard "compatibility" mode. This is an extremely ambitious game from them, they are probably crunching everyone to death in their studio to make it :S

Also I have read, on Xbox you will get the old console version for XB1X, then if you buy an XB Series S you will have the old version to play too, and when it's released XB Series S will get the newer version patched up, where you can carry your safe game along, no need to start over. Sorry if the abbreviations are wrong, not that firm with console names of the next gen. I think that's pretty fair, and at least they have a plan how to handle it, and with the safe games carried over it's not hindering people to start to play.

Pc performance and quality assurance is easier to achieve. I blame consoles for all slow downs these years. You know if it performs mediocre in ps5 and XSX, there won't be drivers or anything. They will bash cdpr. So, they polish their code further. @PrMinisterGR That's so sad to read. I expected cdpr to be a quite loosened company towards developers due to success stories. It seems money making and deadlines are the superior courts in everything nowadays. We're now all judged.

That is a second delay already....games that are delayed almost always flop or at least a large portion of them do...bad sign, bad sign indeed. The Witcher series were mindblowing...i hope that continue the trend.
The Witcher 3 was delayed twice for similar reasons and was a major critical and financial success at launch (gamers liked it too πŸ˜›). And CDPR didn't stop supporting and enhancing the game post launch. They also didn't bilk their customers with crappy DLC. CDPR, as a studio and publisher, have earned my trust and patience. Though of course neither are ever unlimited. πŸ™‚

If it avoids too much crunch for the devs and we end up with a great product I don't mind one bit.

Play station 5 launch is the day after new Cyberpunk release date. I sense that Sony has something to do with the delay.

''Those of you who are familiar with the way we make games know that we won’t ship something which is not ready'' Oh yeah? Then why The Witcher 3 needed over 30 patches? :P Reason for delay is different, new consoles, COVID-19, political situation in many countries etc, but they had to say something so the naive one will have something to believe in xD

They already admitted that they are struggling with settop boxes (aka consoles.)

Its smart they are waiting new consoles and new gpus from nvidia and amd. It could actually run well in that case.

While chance of cyberpunk being bad are (almost) inexistent, I am still worried about gameplay (this is their 1st "FPS" style) and game mechanics for this one. While I liked all 3 Witcher's games, the first was soso gameplay wise, and there was quiet a few mechanics in the 3rd that I wasn't particularly fond of.... I will definitely wait for more previews before pre-ordering.

Nah, all of their games were delayed, some of them more than once. If anything it's a good sign that the game will be more Polished (I'll see myself out now :P).
