Dude, Hilbert, Please put a warning for worst box art and cooler imaginable. I know it will probably hurt your standing with Galax and they'll never send you another card again, but in this case that's probably doing you a favor.
I mean look at that thing. Does anyone seriously think that's pleasing to look at? And what's with the creepy clown dude on the box.

Hahaha, couldn't agree more with you. Indeed, this thing really looks fugly as... don't know the right word, really can't remember the last time I saw some graph.card (especially hi-end one) that looks so bad: cooler looks like it's made from recycled plastic, no backplate, box art belongs to "WTF is this!?" category...
Better for them to offer somewhat 10% off the price for those whose kids would freak out on that psycho clown. This just gave me an idea: gonna show this to all of my three kids and ask them for opinion 😀

My bet is they're going to put few stickers here and there on the cooler before send this cards to retailers. If I'm wrong and these are really the pictures of the final product then someone (lots of them) at Galax really needs to buy a better glasses.

As I said in another thread, this ugly thing would only make sense if you strip it bare and put in under water. Other than that, think I'd rather pay extra even for a Founder's Edition or rather one of the more expensive AIBs than put this in my rig.

Yep, this is the only reasonable way to go with this one, to dump the stock cooler and put it under the water. But if Galax is going to sell this card for the same price like other AIBs then who's going to give the same amount of money for this ugly mofo if he can get a much better looking card, guess better efficient cooler also, possibly backplate included, with better package and everything else inside the box from MSI, GigaByte, Asus... for the same money!? Maybe on the market where Galax is dominant I guess...

Just looks like a small change in the shroud. While I personally like the all blacked out look. I'm not sure I personally would consider this "custom cooling" if all that's different is in fact the shroud, dropping the current ugly Nvidia design.

PCB wise the 1080 seems compatible with the Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV no problem, GREAT!

That's pretty ugly, fair to say that. That being said, Galax make some stunning cards, their HOF editions are pretty good.
I'll most likely go with MSI Gaming again this time around, haven't had a single issue with my 970 so I don't feel the need to change. It would be interesting to see if MSI tweak the Frozr cooler in any way.
