XT-XTX prices would be $1200+ with most Custom designs, let's just keep it below a grand with classic Reference coolers.

What is with all these delays? They are playing too safe...

Probably to give drivers more time to be less buggy on launch.

Not enough cards for launch time? Or maybe they want to dry out the 6000series stock before the release of their new cards, who knows...

Huh? Unless I'm mistaken the release date hasn't changed. There's just rumours that there will be no AIB custom cards on the launch date. And if those rumours are true, my guess is the reason is so they can saturate the media for a couple of weeks with reviews of all the different variants rather than a couple of days.

lots of reasons and tbh, there's no delay as this is right when they said they would launch (tho they were doing the vague 4Q thing). imho, it's to let a large amount of RDNA 2 stock sell on "black Friday" sales. they've decided to let RDNA 2 overstock take the place of mid-range cards for a bit, just like Nvidia but with a touch more class (by not pulling back models). mind you the overstock of last gen cards is a dealer problem as AMD & Nvidia have already been paid (excepting Nvidia FE Ampere). Amd is being sensitive to their needs by this and by embargoing the after-market press for a few days (10-14).

Drivers tend to be buggy at the release. Rtx 40 series too didnt have that smooth sailing . Nvidia users ware bashing amd for their black screens at first now they are experiencing one. Cards being stuck at full clocks and game crashes, gliches, hotfix after hotfix drivers are worse than amd.

Eh - I don't like how people say "hotfix drivers" in posts like this. Hotfix drivers is why Nvidia drivers are good, not the opposite. The AMD black screen issues with the 5000 series went on for nearly 6 months before getting resolved.. and the first driver, even with 5 separate fixes for black screens, didn't even totally fix the issue. __ Regardless, the other thing you have to keep in mind is that AMD is once again moving back to a dual issue design. They moved away from this with RDNA because they had so much trouble filling idle gaps in GCN. Once again they'll have to have their driver extract decent parallelism to fill in the idle gaps. So there is going to be extra work required on the driver front from their side.. in terms of performance optimization.

People that have the most issues with 4090/4080 is the people that don't have it. Strange LOL

Not strange at all and certainly an issue. My issue with 4080 is that I couldn't possibly justify spending that much money in a graphics card. It's a pretty big issue since it prevents me from getting the card altogether. Some melting connector is nothing compared to that. 4080 massively power restricted would be a sweet card.

Same for most hardware from a colour people dont have an alliance to.

Sold my last RTX 4090 on Saturday Nov 26 so I can buy a couple of 7900XTX cards with that cash.I would like a white 7900XTX one on release day to match with my case which I never see. I see some of the Nvidia fans in the AMD thread again doing the same old same old crap. Just from my experience the RTX 4090 cards have driver problems and BIOS problems but it is fast. I would like to see AMD release a GPU first like they did on the CPU Ryzen side.Gettin out the door first adds to sales.

If you want DA BEST AND in WHITE, you gotta look to the GALAX HOF series but it is too bad they do not do AMD. But I agree with you 100%. Waiting for AMD to pull a Ryzen from Radeon. Ryzeon?! RyzeNeon?! 😀

The HOF Nvidia cards in Canada seem to always be extremely overpriced but I agree they are the best white card over asus, gigabyte, zotac ETC. Also any GPU will do for me if it can do 60+FPS at settings I want,I use G-sync/freesync/adaptivesync screens always.

except black screens on rdna 1 persisted for months.

exactly. no brand is perfect, but one tends to solve issues much quicker.
