There is more detail in the distance but why the blue tint? Original grey-greenish tint looks better.

Crysis Remastered will support NVIDIA DLSS technology and hardware-based Ray Tracing using the NVIDIA VKRay Vulkan extension, for NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs.
Didn't know it found it's way into Vulkan already. Nice.

You want overcast with clear sky? The grey one looks very unnatural.

I don't like how it looks - reminds me of some reshade preset.

Maybe there is something wrong with my eyes but I'm not very impressed??? Sure, it looks nice but I don't see the WOW factor...

Original looks were more natural and realistic.

Looks like ARK from a distance point of view with that over bloom, tinted smudgy filter they put on foliage at a distance

Crytek is dead, thats sad. I hope Im wrong, but it deffo seems like to be the case. I also think Star Citizen moved on from Crytek for a reason, and here in this remaster it manifests. They appear like a caricature of themselves to me... well... its not a 1st nor last studio which ended up this way.

Why not invest and make Crysis 4 is beyond me. Instead we get a questionable remaster of the first game.

i know it's a licence gone to others, but I'd rather have Farcry Remastered.

So in other words, it'll be an unoptimized mess.

Crysis impressed me in 2007, then it did it again after i tried all the HD, shader and TOD mods 5 years ago This only looks "remastered" compared to vanilla Crysis. There is no limit to what the graphics on the original crysis can look like. Its only limit is the singlethreaded code. Even Skyrim with the huge quantity of mods cant get close. I just hope they took all user mods and ported everything to cryengine 3 or 4 with *any* amount of multithreading and the old physics engine, so we can nuke 1 million barrels.

Remastered Crysis remastered...I love these. Especially those games where 3DRealms is involved, for next gen consoles - games look like 360p potato...

What i want to know is wtf happened to THIS?? Console parity? The below video proves at least some of the game world was made to true "Can it play crysis" standards. [youtube=KOu4RSMouU0]

I won't be buying Crysis Remastered coz they've gone ahead and took the shady money and made it a Epic Store exclusive. No deal.

The problem is with that third word 'invest'. It requires them to push considerable cash and resource were as a remaster requires a fraction of the cash and resource they can also try and bank on nostalgia purchases by sticking meme nonsense such as 'can it run Crysis' mode. The real mode should be 'does anyone want to run Crysis?' mode.

^ This. But as they've claimed ahead payment via EGS money, they should actually have some at hand. But yeah, it's all a question of financing it, and certainly, a remaster is a lot cheaper than a new game. Also, Crytek isn't really packing cash, they almost went bancrupt a few years back and since then haven't really brought out any games, and closed down or sold most of it's studios. At this point, Crytek mostly earns it's cash from Cryengine licenses (which aren't that many to begin with), so a remaster makes sense. But I guess they'll shut down anyway with the quality of the remaster as far as I've seen screenshots and videos, since to be honest, it's underwhelming and a shame to what Crysis actually stood for.

I mean is just a remaster for who did not play the original game. Isn't for everyone that already played it. Do not overblown, is just another remaster.

Funny thing is looking at the small screenshots, it is actually really hard to tell which is the new one. But, open the full-size images and then it becomes pretty obvious hah.

I believe the main reason was because Crytek was suing in the hopes of getting some of the money from SC. I don't remember what exactly they were suing for but I do remember it being something really petty.
