LoL at that nanosuit guy with roman armor. No new tech i see, this is more like just a reminder to devs that cryengine still exists.

Pff! Nothing special. Companies gotta get on the Euclideon bandwagon.

To be honest, some of the shots (particularly those in the wilds) reminded me of modded Skyrim.... *ducks and hides*

I wish someone could tell or show me how something like the Cryengine could deal with trees and bush coverage, at a distance.
Would be nice if someone OTHER than 'Bohemia Interactive' could make a game with a map as delicious as Chernarus, because BI just can't put in quality code/gameplay mechanics/assets.

Not sure if it's just me, but I was not too impressed by it...

I still think UE4 looks best.

Samaritan , I kinda prefer this look though, ok foliage is still a little plastic, but overall much better then U3E.. Infiltrator is top next-gen stuff.
Speaking of CryEngine, I remember when they said once its hard to please the costumer with HQ gfx.
Well imho Crysis3 visuals are missing something - it still makes it look a bit cartoony, foliage is not that great either (especially grass).
U4E can have more of that animated gfx feel, which makes a real next-gen, Cryengine3, FrostByte2 and current stuff is dated compared to any CGI trailer.. Even Unity is kinda so so, character detail is top but outside foliage, buildings, lighting look last-gen.
FoxEngine, Luminous, SnowDrop, updated Glacier, all look more like CGI gfx
Check this 2008 CGI for Hellgate London, 7-8years later we finally started to see such stuff 😀

Don't you think DX12 has a huge part to play in all these game engines?
They all seem to be throwing out these engines for free, i think it's because they are all DX9/11 engines and they are already working on newer tech for the DX 12 API.

This looks like what UE3 quality level is.
UE4 is far beyond.

It's a bit unfair to compare this with the UE4 tech demos if all CE3 clips are from actual games
