BassFlex - delivers an extended low frequency response and deeper bass across all volume levels, without the need for a subwoofer
I'm gonna doubt that, lol. There's no replacement for displacement when it comes to going low.

I currently own V2 and V3. V3 was a downgrade from V2 as it only allows sound through USB when connected to pc. It does allow bluetooth connectivity on v3 but the sound is so bad you wouldn't ever use it that way as your phone speaker would sound better. These speakers were cheap which is what made them desirable, the sound is barely passable. Now pro comes at this price point because they added rgb and a couple of ports to use it in a manner no one ever will? swing and a miss Just checked creative, it's listed at $59 not $89

Honestly, thanks to modern simulations and high-precision manufacturing, it's pretty impressive how much more bass we can get out of significantly smaller or lower-wattage speakers. So, while these "pebbles" aren't going to obsolete a subwoofer, I wouldn't be surprised if they have bass potent enough to compete with larger and more powerful desktop speakers.

lol, naaa. Bass strength and depth is dependent on length/volume of the resonant cavity(s) and volume of air moved. I dont believe these 30W RMS rated pebbles have either in enough quantity to play even a few watts RMS with a flat response + bass under 80Hz, maybe higher! (lower=better) The bare minimum I would hope for is 60Hz bass at 0dB but even that is missing out on so much. 40Hz or lower is where the real fun starts. Bass will be neither deep nor strong unless played "very" quiet with a lot of bass EQ, nowhere near the expected volume of a 30W speaker. They cannot possibly replace a subwoofer, its hype. Edit: Found this on creatives site: https://uk.creative.com/p/speakers/creative-pebble Frequency Response 100–17,000 Hz This "should" be @ -3dB but they might even fudge the already really bad figure! Quite frankly a dreadful bass response. Nowhere near good enough to replace a subwoofer. Edit 2: The above is the original pebble. Worse, the Pebble Pro doesnt state the frequency response, its simply missing from the specifications. https://uk.creative.com/p/speakers/creative-pebble-pro Poor show.

Yeah, I mean fair. I have a 3" subwoofer with a printed transmission line cabinet that's pretty small and it'll go down to 40hz or so. I just doubt those will go down that far. Maybe 60hz? Who knows.
