Price is good, but I do not like red back light. This solution they used is actually close to 3-color LED.

Seems like a lovely keyboard, but that yellow plug :bang: I do hope they also release a TKL version, as I am in the market for one. The k65 rgb is just to too expensive for me.

I hate Reds.....Had a K70 with them and got rid of it. Now I use a Deck Hassium Pro with Browns at home for gaming and a POK3R with Blues at work.

From what I've seen in stores here there is a brown cherry version too. (The Logitech G710+ that I had as my first mechanical keyboard unfortunately met with the liquid substance known as water and didn't recover from the resulting shock so now I'm using a K95 from Corsair, I have no need to replace anything but this is probably what I would use if the current one breaks anything more than popping a few of the LED lights. - seems to be a common issue across a range of Corsair's keyboard products.) EDIT: Checked again and the product ID for the MX Red key one is "CH-9000088-ND" and the brown version is "CH-9000092-ND" (Red: http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/datorer_och_tillbehor/223356-corsair_gaming_strafe ) (Brown: http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/datorer_och_tillbehor/224626-corsair_gaming_strafe )

Reds are the worst membrane keyboards have more feedback then reds, reds are the definition of a mushy key.

No. You may not like it, but people like me love MX Red. I have a K95 RGB using MX Red and l am very happy with it. It's a personal preference issue. If you want to buy a mechanical keyboard first go to a shop or showroom to try out different keys. You can also buy sample sets of MX keys online. When you have found the perfect key for you then order a keyboard using the one you like. That way you can avoid disappointments like you have.

Deck Hassium Pro with Browns would be my pick too EXCEPT for THE CRAP FONT. What were they thinking!

Reds are light force with no feedback, nothing tactile or auditory. That's worse than membrane keyboards, that means there is no feedback at the point of actuation. Reds are a mushy key way mushier than any membrane can ever be, some may like that, I don't. For someone that prefers a buckling spring reds are the worst.

You keep pushing your opinion, it doesn't mean that reflects the majority of user experiences. Red is by far the most popular selling key switch from Cherry. Also, if you bothered to read the review you would have noticed this kit is available with cherry red, brown or blue switches.

Just took delivery of one of these bad boys will, will update the post once it's hooked up and working. Edit #1, got the keyboard hooked up and gotta say I am not impressed. Dunno if it was mentioned in the review but the USB plugs are stupidly oversized to the point that I can't plug them in side by side on the back of my Maximus Formula 7 mobo, I am amazed by such a silly oversite. Worst still, just tried to install the CUE software to find that it hard locks my computer during the driver install. The keyboard works using the generic Drivers provided by Windows but I am guessing the fancy light show features may have to wait. The keyboard it's self works and feels fine, it also looks really nice the colour scheme matches my rigs build much better than the blue keys of my old keyboard, I also went for the Cherry Red version and have no issue with the feel of the keys, then again my last keyboard also had Cherry Reds so. I'll google fu the locking issue and have a mess around but as with a lot of stuff, nice hardware let down by lacklustre software. Edit #2 So have searched and not surprising their is quite a few folk complaining about the CUE software causing issue on install but very little.... read NONE in the way of solutions. The consensus that I can find is that the CUE software has issues with Z97 mobos, given that the folk complaining about crashes at install all seem to be using a variant of the Z97. So yeah given that Corsair are a bit rubbish when it comes to fixing their software it seems I may never get to use all the fancy features of this new keyboard. Just out of interest I didn't happen to see what set up Hilbert reviewed the keyboard on, knowing what really help with my situation but it would be nice to know.
