I wont touch or recommend this mouse after my RGB Scimitars middle button failed just outside of warranty. These buttons are weak. I bought a G502 Hero in the hope it would be better and just before xmas the left button failed, I had no chance of sorting it via warranty before xmas. Luckily Astyanax linked a video on how to repair the switch so I did this, borked it up terribly with unsuitable pliers but it still worked great and continues to do so. Its actually better than when new. (there was a double click issue if I pushed the lever really far back on the mouse that got gradually worse until it died. This doesnt happen at all now)

I have been using the first gen scimitar (the one with yellow accent) since it became available in belgium (cant't remember how long it has been). I NEVER had a tracking issue (there were a few oddities). I use 2000 DPI 95% of the time and only alter that value when a specific game or program does not have mouse speed settings. Never had an issue with the tracking... Example i had a rather big cut on my left hand some time ago and then i was playing a fps game with just the mouse... i feels odd to use only the right hand to play a game (using the side keys for wsad jump crouch etc.) even then i never felt the tracking had issues... I do however occasionally have to blow in the 'eyehole' on the bottom because it is prone to behave weirdly when dust is in there... (i my mind the culprit of the tracking issue described elsewhere) There was also a odd behavior in the beginning of the firmware versions where i had to unplug en replug the mouse almost every restart of my pc. The pc would not 'see' the mouse until i re-plugged it. then it worked as always... With the latest firmware updates this issue is completely resolved so appart from it being prone to dust it's perfect for me... It is a great mouse IF the form/ergonomics suit your hand (it is rather heavy AND bigger then most mice)

So, it's just a 'pro' with 2000 more dpi (18000 as opposed to 16000) which no-one uses anyway.
