Corsair is ready
why wouldn't they be ready? their products have nothing in common with Intel 7th gen specifications and requirements, almost nothing has changed since skylake release and Corsair doesn't even have a PSU or RAM factory. This "news" is just marketing is it ?

Honestly getting the feeling you guys are getting paid by Corsair for these overly positive articles lately, and aren't disclosing it. I mean, I can't know if this is the case of course, but this is a very weird article, and Corsair's MP500 review was similarly strange.

Exactly this.

+1 to above comments. And to add to it.... Corsair should work out the mess there software (CUE and Link) is in before running gums about new hardware. On my 3rd Hx1000i and and both my strafe keyboards are pants mainly due to CUE.

Obviously Corsair made an announcement or press release. its not just here. Jeeez. https://www.techpowerup.com/229219/corsair-readies-up-for-new-7th-generation-intel-core-processors
Heh yeah many PC hardware companies tend to make these announcements in time for newer motherboards or even OS releases, pretty sure there's quite a few mice and keyboards with that whole "Windows 10 ready." logo on them whereas well it's USB of course it's going to work. (Well the accompanying Razer, Logitech and Corsair software might be a bit of a problematic area I guess, ha ha.) Although Corsair here does also have their own DDR4 modules for which I guess this is a little bit more important over PSU's or input devices like mice and keyboards. (That CUE2 software is a bit of a mess though although technically still beta.) Haven't really kept up with DDR4 development but I guess it's the standard of supporting higher clock speeds officially and potential voltage changes. (IE initial DDR3 RAM having some kits running at near 2.0v and later ones ran at I think close to 1.5v) EDIT: And well these press announcements usually always have some marketing speech in them and a bit of boasting or how to call it. (Though that's not exactly exclusive to the PC hardware industry.)

Apparently the only thing you do on these forums is complain? It is a press release from a review partner, as posted on any site. Don't like it ? Don't read it.

I can't know if I don't like it when I haven't read it. In fact, when I saw the title I was excited because I thought Corsair would come with new products, so I clicked on it and read it. I complained twice, and that was because I felt like I had a reason to complain. If this is text written by Corsair rather than by Guru3D, that should be made clear. This reads like you guys wrote it and are endorsing Corsair's every product. In addition there is no mention of a source that would imply that this is a press release. In the contrary: The source linked is Guru3D itself. What we (I am not the only one) are complaining about is very valid criticism. There was no need to go on the attack against me personally like this. There's a reason I visit this site every day, and that's because it generally contains high quality content. That's why I care about it when I feel like something is amiss - I like this place.

I have like 3 main news pages in my native language for news not 1 mentioned Corsair but I have found a AMD FreeSync version 2.0 with HDR news which would be like 10 times more appreciated.

There will be many new product releases from Corsair, these will be posted once the press-releases are out. Should I not post them because they are press releases as well ? On your two complains, a quick search reveals other results, disagreeing with anything you can. On the "personal attack", you apparently get to say whatever you want, and I apparently need to keep my mouth trapped while you blatantly attack a simpe news-item ? "Honestly getting the feeling you guys are getting paid by Corsair for these overly positive articles lately, and aren't disclosing it." Seriously are you frickin kidding me ? Feel free to visit tweakers over Guru3D, you'll feel right at home in your native language as well.

Oh for the love of god, you quickly edited your post four times to make it look better ?

What I said was not a personal attack in away. I don't expect you not to defend yourself when you feel like we're wrong (which we very well could be!), but I do expect something other than "Apparently the only thing you do on these forums is complain?" and "Don't like it? Don't read it." I'm not the only one who had these concerns (in fact I wasn't even the first who posted about it) but you simply dismiss them. It seems we're not going to agree on this one. I'll just move on.

Yep, I did. Apologies that I was too slow and you replied before I was done editing - that's a bit shady. Wasn't meant that way.

Is this actually news? C'mon Hilbert! Did I disable my ad blocker to get this kind of empty content? Besides, we all know that Intel hasn't innovated since Sandy Bridge so it's no news that, without any adaptations, hardware from 6 years ago can run perfectly fine with Kaby Lake. EDIT: I don't want you to feel attacked by this comment, au contraire, I find Guru3D one of the best (if not the best) unbiased website to find hardware news and I visit it daily (more than once a day). If we comment something of the sort and "scold" you it is because we don't want to lose you to the corporations like other websites. I don't know the internals of your process and I really appreciate all the work you put into Guru3D. And if it means we gotta pay a fee to keep the content as it always was, I'll do it gladly, as I did when you requested us to whitelist this website in our ad blockers. In any case, I'm sorry if this was a misinterpretation on our end. We really do love Guru3D. Thanks for all your hard work (we do appreciate it). Best Regards, Lucas

Yes it was. There is no problem with a comment whatsoever, you just do not need to be a complete a-hole about it okay? I'm sure you will have realized by now you could have picked your words a bit more careful. I'll leave it at that.

For some reason I was expecting Corsair motherboards. Oh well 😀

I can agree with that. Although the core concern I expressed I still find valid, my choice of words was a little too hostile and I apologize for that.

me 2 ! I was expecting something new that actually needed 7th gen compatibility from Corsair and then I realised that this news could fit in 1 sentence like: "Corsair products are just fine with 7th gen Intel products" But what if there is a second bottom to this ? what if Corsair had some issues with mem modules that needed a press release for cover up...
data/avatar/default/avatar39.webp
Seriously people...yeah corsair is just stating marketing as all others do. Lets see and I did not even have to read the press release...but they are saying that that their current AIO coolers will be compatible with the Z270 as well as their DDR 4 ram. Believe it or not, lots of people will ask is such and such keyboard etc is compatible with a z270 motherboard. Not to hard to figure out.

Yeah but what about Zalman ? I have CNPS10X for many years now I demand a press release stating that this cooler works with Haswell, Skylake and Kaby Lake!

Relax man Hilbert is just running with today's Corsair theme. It's the new Guru3d thing ya know? He Dominated® you and got his rightful Vengeance®. Running cool and quiet went right out the window tho. Like a good PSU you shouldn't over stress poor Hilbert® or he'll become unstable.
