It's actually nanoleaf stuff that now works with iCUE. Same with Phillips HUE stuff, as it seems.

I tried the hue integration.. it's not that great. The hue app is significantly better imo.. at least with the screen capture. If you're syncing to the rest of your RGB lights icue might be better.. idk. Problem is my icue is so broken all the time I wouldn't rely on it. I guess the only other corsair rgb thingy i have is my keyboard though. I'm not really big on RGB in general but i do find the hue backlight on the monitor pretty immersive for games.

Heh, thank you a lot! As I too was gifted my HUE stuff (white main living room light, a rgb light strip on the book shelf above the tv, two rgb bulbs in forward left and backward right positions, and two rgb play bars I have not set up, along with the bridge, back of the PC screen is NOT against a wall unfortunately), I very much love that first hand review! Thought about doing it as well, but I'm already annoyed by having to have WLAN on the whole time for it to work, right?

Yeah i believe so -- but I don't think that's any different with the icue integration? I'm not sure any of the "entertainment" sync hue options use bluetooth afaik. I think it might be too slow latency wise to sync, requires wireless to bridge then zigbee.

Yea using icue still requires the bridge. I added a couple of bluetooth lights to my setup a while back and they were too slow to sync properly and the colors didn't seem as vibrant as the other hue lights. Ive grown tired of all my rgb and its all off now and I use the lights as regular white bulbs now. Also I agree that the official hue app is the best integration, it works pretty dang well actually, better than anything else I've tried including the icue integration.

older hue stuff worked fine with bluetooth iirc, but they changed to WLAN eventually. Especially, like you said, the syncing and game features require it afaik. And yeah, I'm not pro-iCue here, I merely felt reminded of it and then bluntly noticed it's "just" making existing hardware work. Not bad, but far from revolutionary, I'd jest.
