Good review Hilbert! Great reading. This seems like a good HS and would definitely had been on my list since I was looking for a wireless Headset in the 100euro range but since I couldn't find anything to satisfy me, I went with the trusted HX Cloud II. But this looks good also and I really wanted a wireless.(shh dont tell Hilbert but it was mostly for movies/light gaming when the missus/kids are sleeping ๐Ÿ˜€) P.S: That lan joke? Priceless!

Is the mic boom removable?

I'm not a fan of wireless, but I went for the VOID 7.1 with USB. Will be here on Saturday. I also like the volume control on one of the ear cups. If it's on the wire itself then I keep changing the volume by accident several times a day. My previous one was a Corsair too. That one was way too loud. I had it on 50% most of the time. I've read that this is not an issue with the VOID.

LOL @ RGB headset, gonna need a mirror to be able to see them ๐Ÿ™‚ Does anyone ever use EQ settings either in software or on hardware? I am always of the opinion that any audio signal (digital or analog) should be left unaltered, without any kind of processing to 'improve' it.

Sometimes I use EQ to equalize my headphones and make them super flat. And I use shelf/pass filters on my speakers to kill ultra low/high frequencies and possibly improve their life. (You never know what kind of an idiotic signal might be sent to them or how intelligent they are themselves) Other than that unaltered all the way.

The Void (USB version) headset arrived today. It works much like Hilbert wrote. So far I'm happy with it. ๐Ÿ™‚ Great review, Hilbert. BTW: The USB version looks better too. All black, with some tiny grey accents.

Well... That's a myth. When you get older there is loss of hearing high frequencies. Only when you are young you will be able to hear the full audio spectrum. And even then hearing is not perfect for some. Having an equalizer definitely helps those people. Also, the frequency range of some music recorded for vinyl is adjusted in such a way that it will not throw out the needle at low frequencies. In that case it is not really flat. In my opinion it is OK to use an equalizer to correct it.

No more Corsair headphones for me. They work ok, when they work... I had to RMA mines (H2100) twice, being replaced twice because of battery lights bug (they brick and you have to discharge them completely waiting 1-2 days being unable to use them). Now, after the warranty is off, they broke again... Corsair PSU=OK. Corsair liquid cooling AIO=OK. Corsair Headsets=Never again.

Hey guys, thanks for your review but I notice something weird on it, You are saying these headset has Dolby Digital, are you sure about that? Maybe you mean Dolby Headphone?
