German-engineered Cherry MX mechanical key switches, but up to 30% quieter.
Unless the firmware lies about it and in fact they're 300% louder :-P (What? Too soon?)

Haha. That would be too funny. But you know, I've seen some (not-German) fans specs, where they were stating some airflow and noise, and when you checked the details, it turned out that airflow was measured at max speed, and noise at min speed. Hey, how else you could get 170cfm <20dBa fan. Back to the keyboard - it looks really cool, and I think that I'd opt for these new "silent" switches. I guess that "not so obnoxious" name would be a little more accurate. O-ring mod works pretty well, and even MX Blue switches aren't that likely to be picked by a desktop microphone unless you're smashing the keyboard. Yet this mod decreases post-actuation key travel, what decreases comfort a little. For me it would be Silent = gaming, Blue = work. But 160€ price is a little too much to accept. I paid less than half of that for Razer Blackwidow featuring MX Blue.

Any news if they changed something about led lifespan? I had my corsair k95 returned for dead leds two times, at the end i switched to logitech. But i loved corsair aluminium look.

Yeah they do die fairly frequently, I'm not too bothered by it (As long as the keyboard itself works.) but it's been two years now since I got it and there's four or so really dead lights and two that are getting pretty dim and will probably go out soon too.
