I thought my 5950x was running hot. Sheesh. o_O

That's insane. Intel has lost it's damn mind if this real and they consider this normal.

so?

Wasn't there a similar story with the 10th generation, turned out to be bogus?

So so.

Intel with 14nn +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Why even bring this story? Its clearly fake. I have had my 9900K at 250W on a 240mm and its not even at 98c. It was more like 88c (room temp 25c). And this is on a 360mm rad. Get out of here.

Back to the drawing board i guess

are going to ban these processors in Antarctica. 😀

I can get my 5900x to 98c too... No problem... They said 10900k was hot... 5900x is hotter with better cooling LOL Noobs always "leaks" stupid things...

Hilbert Hagedoorn:

we've seen comparable stories with Comet Lake before release, which turned out much better in the end.
are they even soldering these pre-release samples ?

Temperature is normal for a load voltage of 1.4v, its insane, wonder what LLC was used too, for 4.8Ghz a decent chip shouldnt need more than 1.1v to run a stress test, my 9900K does prime95 at 5ghz 1.1v in load...
data/avatar/default/avatar07.webp
If this is under AIDA64 FPU, under prime95 AVX it will throttle like hell, which means it will be basically impossible to properly stresstest overclocks on most samples. Also, for those being distrustful about this, remember that Rocket Lake has AVX-512, which runs even hotter than AVX2.

Any intel cpu since IvyBridge & over 1.30v will run hot imo. Im still looking at 11700KF though, hopefully it will deliver when it does. Although this i5 10500 OC @ 4.3 all core looks to be doing pretty well atm, I haven't came a cross a game that would cripple it. Need better gpu first 😀

pathetic. my 10980xe does 99c

I bet more than 99c @ 1.4v 😉

According to the Intel specification page for the 11900K, the CPU's maximum operating temp is 100°c. Which means 98°c is a safe operating temp for the chip. Albeit high, but normal. Hell, my Ryzen 7 3700X has a maximum operating temp of 95°c...

5900x also has more cores. I swear some people around here are just dumb. 10900k was hot. Just not clickbait extreme. People like you prolly defending the temp issues on the 6700k too.

Way to go to make a click bait article Guru3d cmon it was running AVX512.... AVX period gets fking hot.... avx 512 makes most cpus nuclear.
