Nice option for people who for sure is going to take out de cooler in order to install water cooling

Finally, people get the option. So how much cheaper is it, not to have the Heatsink on? If it's like $20 probably not worth it. Get one with a heatsink.

I already can feel amazon reviews complaining about poor performance and burnt smell.

I asked for this years ago in my crappy little video here: [youtube=mQVNvQAYCeI]

Well, i just registered (but I always read ^^) to tell you guys that in years of hardware, building many PC's for my friends and I, this brand is basically the ONLY one I found broken. It was an AMD card (if I don't remember bad it was a 6870HD) and it was completely non-functional. RMA was helpful at least for me. While I appreciate the offer of this card, I cannot recommend this brand. Be careful :P

Single card dies... decides whole brand is bad... yep... seems legit. By that measure, I shouldn't buy Noctua, Thermaltake, Gainward, Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, EVGA, WD, Toshiba, Seagate, Corsair, Kingston, CoolerMaster, Logitech, and probably a few more I have forgotten, had at least one device from all of those brands die either on one of my own rigs or on a PC I have built for a customer or friend.

It is my personal experience. And yes, this brand is dead to me.

So... if one card died from Asus you would never buy from them again either? (not trying to defend colourful as a brand here just trying to point out the bad logic of taking a single failure of ANYTHING to be representative of the whole product/brand)

This great. Finally, someone did it. You keep the warranty + have an option to put whatever cooling you want. Great!

The warranty would probably be similar as buying a cpu without a hs.

So will it be like a Porsche? They take things off of it and then charge you MORE.

Excellent idea! Would be great to combine this with the next "NZXT G12" and a nice 240mm cooler 🙂 I would buy for sure. It important that the selected water cooler has VRM cooling or pads or something. Oh and also for the mem.

I wonder how many will buy it inexperienced and not realise, use it without a cooler lol

Yep. From those who thought they were getting an awesome silent fanless card. 😀

Yep and AB / RTSS forums here filling up with people complaining Colorful 2080 Ti doesn't hold boost clocks and RTSS made their card explode. Anyhow neat idea, but wonder about warranty as well. I guess they must handle each claim and assess if the issue is related to cooler assembly failure or an actual problem with the PCB. Plus I'd imagine they will release a list of "certified" coolers that pass warranty terms. Ie. using any other cooler will void warranty even if it would be listed as compatible.

Will this even be released outside Asia?
data/avatar/default/avatar20.webp
Niice, I wonder if it will be cheaper, like one person mentioned, like porche, take out some stuff and raise the price ;D

Its not the cooling thats expensive on it. Idk how cheaper can it be or even at all.

$20 So instead of paying $1,499.99 you will only have to pay $1,479.99 you could buy an extra thumb drive or something....
