It won't be long now until these things are like mini lcd's/pixels that can display pictures and other things on Keyboards. I don't know why they are going down that road but i think they will. You may even be able to have your KB act like a display for Temps and other PC stats. I can see it now in my head, scrolling from right to left across all keys telling you info from the PC.

Not touch, I don't think its even mechanical, but ordinary keys on that Optimus. http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2008/02/optimus-maximus-hands-on-29.jpg As u can see in the video it looks cheap with that transparent plastic keys, but the price was not cheap at all. The actual lcd is not moving while u press the key only the plastic key. Maybe someday we will see something good enough, and maybe it will be sooner that we think.
