I think every single decent game will be remade/remastered. It's easy money for them these days as a lot of it is automated making it easier than ever to do.

Capcom did a lot of mistakes in the past but honestly the resident evil2 remake and to a lesser extend 3 .... Actually where good remakes ! Makes me hopeful for that one! Although I got my all time favorite resident evil game remade already personally for me it was the 2!

I love RE4 but i`ve read that they altered the gameplay, so i`m on the fence about this remake...

It's actually not so bad, as long as it's not just some slapdash job for a quick buck. If you take a 20+ years old game, the graphics may look too bad for the audience today, as well as other features in the game that may not be suitable for gamers used to a more modern approach. So, in a certain sense an old game, once upon a time a masterpiece, is easily lost for the later generations of gamers. In fact it might not even launch without effort or could run at 1000% speed, making it unplayable. That being said, I couldn't name too many really admirable efforts to remake an old classic. Despite relaunching Skyrim for half a dozen times, Bethesda seems happy to let fans to try to remake the old ES games, so it's not automatic studios would be interested in such activities.

I kind of look at it similar to remastering movies. Yeah I could get a VHS player and watch whatever movie but it's nice when it's properly remastered and released on 4K with better sound and whatnot. Yeah sometimes they screw it up, color grade it wrong or whatever.. and obviously the nature of games makes that easier for a bunch of reasons but I still like it.

Hopefully, it's Optimized, unlike Gotham Knights... getting 40fps on a 4090. haha
