Rofl everyone wants to milk cod, 😀 that's hilarious man.
Cod was once a true great esports game, but.. after mw2 and the loss of dedicated servers it quickly lost its value.

Of course, there's always market for Spunkgargleweewee.

It should be a good thing. 3 years per game hopefully means Treyarch is doing something about the engine? This year is sledgehammer's turn ... insta skip :P

I think they do a similar thing with AC (as in different studious working simultaneously on different sequels) so if done right this could be a good thing in the long run. But then again I kind of lost hope in COD ever since MW2... I think for a FPS it would be wiser to go BF route, release a new game every 2 years with optional DLC inbetween.

anything that comes out of bobby koticks mouth about games is bs, so best in the series yet haha blergh.

if they had any sense, they'd merge the three studios and spend a year or two on a single (actually good) title. That said World at War and the first Black Ops were a lot of fun.

the thing is, while MW3 had MASSIVE amounts of bull**** in it, it is the cod i enjoyed the most. I have played it for over 2k hours, and still play it. Just make sure you grab the FoV fix and Framerate unlocker, set iw5mp.exe to normal priority to remove mouse weirdness, play on servers with admins.... etc.
The game is bad. Very bad. Nobody can deny that. If you want a well-made game, play battlefield, arma or crysis. but i don't want a good game, i want a game where i can run around and mow down people, get specialist streaks and the occasional moab.
so that's why i'm actually excited for mw4

The dedicated servers thing is the one that annoys me most because they usually had admins that would police the game quite well now it's complete chaos.

There are still alot of people out there to milk...

I used to love this game. Now it's just boring and repetitive. Time to knock it on the head and come up with something new.

passed around like a cheap you know what.
imo this bit of news has just lowered the uberness of the gaming scene.
what do we save and spend our monies on? feeding the machine? if that's so i'm out, i'll sell it all.
bf4 was unloved too, poor bitch.
tho the worst case was recent aliens cm.

I will no longer play this series. They can claim all they want that the next version is the best version yet.
I will fix a certain sentence in the article.
"The three are rotating in the yearly release re-cycle."

More I think about yearly release of these mega titles (strictly in sales), more brilliant it seems to me.
People can get bored of same old **** (I'm so cool so I got bored of CoD back when CoD2 came out!) but think about it... every year there is fresh new batch of kids just getting into the franchise.
At that scale who cares if entire generation gets tired of your game when entire new gen is ready to dive in because your game and marketing is aimed at them?
Oh and 3 devs in cycle instead of 2 while release timing remaining the same should in theory improve the quality, or maybe not because maybe they just need that extra manpower to keep face of ever growing increase in development cost.
