Well that said absolutly nothing about the game... typical of Activision, they make a preveiw that has no real info about the game, thats only designed to hype people up and get them pre-ordering. Im glad i hopped off that train long ago. Im still waiting for the CoD game that harkens back to the glory days of WoW, so i can return to the series and play it once more. Hopefully this will be the game, but then i said that about every other one already... š

So it does not show much in the way of gameplay, granted. However, all will be revealed, according to their website on the 21-05-2013, so no need to despair ( again more sarcasm).
I love the franchise! I only wish they would stop using the old engine and invest time and effort in a new updated one. That being said, they have done a fine job with Black Ops II - my favourite game for a long time...

Black Ops II had the same engine. I'm pretty sure the next Call Of Duty will have the same engine, again!

Supposedly this IS supposed to be using a new engine. At least according to the xbox news site I read. I'll believe it when I see it though.

Do you ever think that once you have a franchise successful, there is no need to extensively market it?
I mean, surely all of the worlds games players will be aware of its existence through osmosis alone...it's not like CoD is an unknown newcomer to the FPS party.
All leading statements, which in-part is asking the question of marketing dollars versus development dollars.
If you had $100 million dollars to pump into developing a game or even, a new graphics engine, we could have something akin to gaming nirvana, or, a new graphics engine which could yield awesome levels of awesomeness. It could also generate additional sums of $ if one were to sub-licence it.
Meh, I guess they shrug and say 'lets just pump that money into an elaborate marketing global campaign, complete with videos that do not show the game they're related to'.
At least the BF series do it with style and have Jay-z or Rhianna, all cut over shots of the actual game.
Move along, move along. Nothing new to see here.

Taste is subjective, I meant it's mainstream music with big names and the style comment was aimed at style of marketing with emphasis on using actual video game content being better than not, like the trailer of the thread does.

Well guys, i just have to say this... Who here is atually expecting a NEW cod to be releised? there will never be another origional idea from the cod franchise as long as activision holds it. just saying.

Original ideas or not, the COD title is a guaraenteed $1B + income a year for Activision. So I highly doubt they will release the IP ever.
