Original ideas or not, the COD title is a guaraenteed $1B + income a year for Activision. So I highly doubt they will release the IP ever.

while i dont like cod games anymore, at the end of the day cod is just the modern day version of the 80's action flick, cheesy, flashy sfx, dumb fun. The jokes on anyone who takes it seriously, the single player aspect anyway. Multiplayer however is just simple drop in drop out fun for those who dont feel the need for anything more than that. imo.
